during the winter time, how do you guys keep your skin looking moisturized and healthy throughout the day? i apply cetaphil moisturizing lotion after i shower at night and when i wake up but i don't think it's enough. most days i'm often out and about and don't have the time to keep applying lotion on my skin... and even then when i apply moisturizer it doesn't necessarily make my skin feel moisturized, it just makes my skin feel greasy as fuck.
i've noticed that this problem only really happens during december-early march as the cold temperature and dry hair seem to fuck me up.
what do you guys to do keep your skin looking fresh and moisturized during the winter?

use cetaphil moisturizing cream (jar) rather than cetaphil lotion (pump), then put a thin layer of vaseline over that

How often are you showering? I never had dry skin in my life until a couple of winters ago and it's returned each winter since. I tried various moisturisers etc but I found the single most effective thing was cutting down from two showers a day to one during the winter months. Also make sure the water isn't too hot - lukewarm showers might not be the nicest in the middle of winter but hot water really dries your skin out.

Vanicream and Aquaphor are the two best moisturizers. It's what Jewish Medical Center has eczema patients use.
After leeaving the shower, pat dry, so you're still moist. Apply the moisturizer within 3 minutes.

Vaseline does not get absorbed into the skin, it will lock moisture in but it just ends up going into your clothes.
Dry Skin?
Drink more water
Coconut oil (first choice), or 100% Cocca Shea oil/butter (2nd choice), or Extra Virgin Olive oil (good for winter. Don't use in summer time as bees and wasps smell the olive fragrance and will hound you).
Those 2 things and your good. Also switch from a less harsh soap. If your scrubbing down with Axe or some shit it might be to aggressive for your skin and you may need something less strong.

Don't shower in hot water. I know it sucks during winter, but it helped me a lot.

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

Up till a few months ago I had a severe problem with dry flaky skin on my face. To the point that I wondered if I had psoriasis and perhaps needed a dermatologist.
I then decided to give this Dove moisturizing soap a try. Since then, the problem has gone away. Especially if I rub a little Vasaline on my face after showering. That soap is more expensive, but it's worth it.

I use glycerine soap with shea butter, Dead Sea Salt, hemp, and some other stuff. It works good but I can't remember the name of it now. I apply lotion with macadamia oil and shea butter to my arms and legs and almond oil on my face. I also take fish oil and MSM. I rarely get dry skin. It only happens around my eye brows if I don't apply the almond oil to my face after a couple of days.

it may sound bizarre or funny, but virgin olive oil...you can apply it once you get home and use water to rinse off. Also unless you have produce foul-odor while even using a deodorant, quit showering daily. It's only in Western countries people shower daily, but in the East, and in nature, it`s a lot less than that...
life is a waking dream.
