Hey I'm going to be staying in Chicago on vacation during the end of December, and I want to hook up. There are two problems though; I am 18 and I will be with my family. If anyone has any advice for me let me know.

You might be able to find a New Years party in the city that allows 18 & up with wristband (21+ wristband for alcohol). If such an option exists, I'm sure you'll run into a ton of other suburbanites & tourist chicas that are pretty much looking to do what you're also trying to do. I'd run a Google search or check out Metromix and pick Chicago. The more lenient parties (age-wise) will probably take place in hotels. Be prepared to pay a steep entrance fee. Your best bet is to pre-pay the cover charge ahead of time for a discounted price at one of these types of events. Maybe try to get a wingman to roll with you. If you have a room in the same hotel as one of these parties (not sure if an 18 year old can even book one lol), then your chances have just shot up even higher.

in lieu of this, there are still plenty of free parking spaces available. i have only paid for parking once or twice in the last 6 months that i have been in the city, and those have been at odd hours.

AMG, to answer your question, the best bet is to go to a hotel party that is family oriented. you'll probably run into a lot of girls in your age range and the shields will definitely be down. this is what we used to do when i was that age, and these parties had great ratios for young players. not only that, but most guys that age are afraid to approach women in front of their families, so you only have something to gain from approaching.

perfect time to isolate and escalate right at midnight too since they launch fireworks from navy pier, and most hotels will have a lakefront view where they throw the party at.

some good advice would be to day game on michigan avenue right now while people are doing their holiday returning and post holiday sale shopping. chat up some girls and find out what spots are good for new years even celebrations. ask them what they are doing and see if you can join in with them.

Excalibur is an 18+ club in chicago. I will be spending NYE there but I'm going to a house party with late 20s-30s folks.

18+ clubs are kinda rare - you may have to look in the northwest side of town - Irving Park is the name of the hood.

It's mostly Puerto Rican and Mexican out there, and the clubs are gonna be small restaurants with the chairs pushed to the side and reggaeton bumping. Hot girls, but lots of thugs too and people get kinda wild in Chicago especially if you're an outsider to the hood. I never had any problems but I was with girls or other spanish dudes usually.

I dated PR/Guatamalen girl out there that is a promoter in this hood now.

I'm attaching fliers of past parties she's promoted so you get an idea of the vibe - a little on the ghetto spanish side and the addresses are on the fliers too.

ANOTHER IDEA:
go hang out at U of I or Depaul campus areas, maybe post up at cheap food spot, and chat up some students. Tell them you are from out of town and looking for places to hang out for under 21. There are always a ton of house parties going on at Depaul. i went there my freshman year of college and it's a total shitshow of party hopping on the weekends. Girls are pretty easy there too and will invite you to come along if you're cool.

This is a great idea too. Look for hotels in the north loop, river north, or gold coast neighborhoods. You could probably just chill in the lounge/lobby and see tons of girls stumbling around in miniskirts lol

lol, you havnt been to LP in a while. Depaul is out for 1 month winter break, all the bars on lincoln are super dead during christmas break. Lots of the dorms have been torn down to make room for more academic buildings and even the dorms that are still there closed down for break. They pretty much kick everyone out of campus for a month.

lol wow that sucks! yea I went there in 2000, and then lived in chicago 2007-2008. like I said, Irving park will have 18+ small spanish parties, and hotel parties are another option.

At minimum this kid should venture outta his uncle & aunts house and head down to Navy Pier. I TOTALLY forgot about that, but that's probably the closest thing that Chicago has to the whole Times Square feeling & it doesn't cost any money besides your train ride or car ride to the city. Navy Pier will be jam packed with folks of all ages & nationalities (families, etc.), but there should be opportunity for game and plenty of people watching at minimum. From what I recall, some of the hotel parties downtown (ONLY for NYE really) are able to get away with 18+ by using a wristband loophole. These aren't your typical nightclub & lounge type venues mind you, but more like the ballroom areas of hotels (ie. the Hyatt Regency or the Palmer House Hilton) converted into a NYE party. "Iceinthewater" is spot-on with his assessment & suggestions within the Latin scene & the NW side of Chicago.

oh shit I totally forgot there is a block near the north/clybourn stop that has like 3-4 club/lounges on it all near each other. Again it's mostly a spanish crowd but there are tons of hot girls around and I know 2 of the clubs are 18+ - one is called radiostar. as you can see by the ratings and the picture, it's a little ghetto but there will be tons of girls out there. I think this is the Wicker park neighborhood
