Medellin Report:
Overview:
Given how much this board helped me I hope this detailed write up will help others. Feel free to contact me with any specific questions. First of all Roosh’s Bang Colombia is almost dead on. It is scary. I highly suggest people read this and also do not gloss over any detail. The only things that are not on point are some club suggestions, but obviously with time things change. Some general observations are as follows:
•The girls here give off a huge sexual vibe. They are very feminine, and the hair...oh god the long hair is awesome.
•The people in general are very nice. Always trying to help out.
•The guys are very passive. Befriend the guys and they will be your best friends.
•Safety is not really an issue. I never felt in danger (except that Sunday night and even then I didn’t feel that scared [see below for story]). There are cops everywhere and outside banks there are guards holding shotguns.
•Cabs are insanely cheap. I mean ridiculous. I think the most expensive cab ride we took was 5 dollars.
•Do the cable car to see the slums. No need to even get out, just go up and down.
Logistics:
The international airport is located in the mountains about an hour away from Poblado. Taxi into town was 56000 pesos, or about 28 bucks. Very easy and safe to do. We rented an apartment from a company run by a guy we knew. It was an awesome 2 bedroom apartment with a great view and right in Poblado, next to Exito which is Medellin’s superstore that has everything. Great location and I would highly recommend staying in this area.
Most of my time was spent in Poblado. There is a major street called Calle 10 which if you take down you hit Parque Lleras and all those other main attractions. The metro is very easy to take and you can get around anywhere from it. Never bothered with the bus since taxis were so cheap.
For gym memberships, Bodytech was $150 for 10 day pass, and Forma had day passes for $15. Never got around to using either.
Women:
They are in a word..ridiculous. There were a lot of very good looking girls out there, and that thing is unlike America, they all really try to look their best all the time. I have to say the one thing for me was the long black hair they all had. I hate short hair and this porno look hair they have was really doing it for me. There are some stunners out there, but beware of this ass factor. I couldn’t believe how many girls I saw that were super thin and gorgeous but then just had monstrous asses. It’s mind boggling really. I know some are implants but some are just straight up fat asses. A lot of guys like that, but I’m not a fan.
The disparaty is also very noticeable between guy and girl. I’m not joking when I say that almost every guy had a hot girlfriend. It’s like the fat/ugly ones were just not touched or hit on. I saw one guy who looked like frodo baggins that was with a 8. And this was not uncommon. Also, Medellin was the land of the MILFs. Every goddamn mom was hot. The only theory I could come up with is that nobody bones the ugly girls in this country so if you are a mom, that means you got boned and that you were attractive.
As Roosh pointed out, night game is very hard here but it can be done. Just don’t expect one night stands. They ALL go out in groups with guys, with one exception I will elaborate on my nightly reports. But, if you befriend the guys they will literally grab girls in their group and make them dance with you. So that was cool and you can get #’s that way pretty easily. They also love their cell phones there. Don’t be offended if you are dancing with a girl and she is on her blackberry, which I saw often. Speaking of which, if you are thinking of a phone to get while there, get a unlocked cheap blackberry. I lost out on communicating with a few girls who wanted to chat over BBM. Nobody here has any damn credit on their cell phones.
Reggaeton dancing - this was hilarious to me. If this music is playing (which it almost certainly will), you can just walk up to a girl and say “Bueno” and grab her and she is almost obligated to grind you for one song. But it really doesn’t extend that far after that. Did get a few numbers this way, but being only there 5 nights didn’t help my cause.
Pipelining was a bit of a bust. They all goddamn flaked. Used Colombiancupid and badoo.
For daytime, Parque Lleras and Tesoro Mall were great. The mall has a lot lot lot of hotties there, and for whatever reason I got the most stares there. It could have been that I just came from a failed attempt to go to the gym so I was wearing shorts and a tshirt, or that I’m a 6ft white guy. Probably both as nobody esle in the entire mall was wearing shorts. Tried a bit of daygame on some very hot girls, as we thought why not we were on Vacation. First were two bikini models that were working some store, outright gorgeous. After some playful conversation, asked them what they were doing that night one said she was married other said she was staying home. Another girl worked selling new condos, so I talked with her for a while about the condos and then when she gave me the information packed she wrote her name and cell on the back. Texted her the next day but no response.
Had this been my second time in Medellin, I think I could get laid easily. I learned a lot this trip. Here is some advice:
•Stay longer than a week
•Get a blackberry
•Pipeline hard, but they will flake
•Befriend the guys when you go out, they are always happy to throw the girls in their group at you.
•When you meet a girl at night, set up a date with her then. Don’t wait to call her/text her. This might be moreso for me since I had conversations spanish and wasn’t fluent.
•Still try at the end of the night for a one night stand. This is one thing I regretted, was that I’d flirt and talk to girls and then they’d go away later. I think I should have just been straight up honest and told them let’s go back to my place.
Safety:
Again, really not an issue. My friend got his Ipad stolen, as well as my jacket, but that was partially our fault (explained below). As to be harassed on the streets or anything like that, no problem at all. It may have helped that my buddy looks colombian (he is persian) and is relatively built. I am a skinny 6ft white guy. So who knows. But all in all, Medellin is very safe.
Food:
The food was really good I thought. The juices were awesome, especially the ones with milk (jugo con leche). Some recommendations:
•Jugo de lulo con leche
•Any juice con leche (except rasberry, yuck).
•Cazuelas de mi tierra (in diez hotel, get the ceviche and coco lemonade)
•Delimar (off Calle 10, small little place with a blue awning, I think it is on Carrera 43F). Ask for their special with fish and shrimp. It may have been the best meal I had.
•Skip that Anthony Bordain place in Envigato, forgot the name but wasn’t worth the trip.
•Get that street hot dog with bun, cheese, apples I think. Have a local order it for you, I tried and he gave me a nasty chorizo on a stick.
•There is this hamburger chain that is awesome, great great burgers. I think it is called El Corral, they have locations everywhere. You may think why get a burger in Colombia, but trust me it is very good.
Nightlife:
First of all, fuck Aguardiente. Shit is nasty and makes you black out. But everyone drinks it there it is ridiculous. And they get fucked up. Hopefully you can use these night stories to know where to go on particular nights. Anyway here are the stories:
•Wednesday: Went to what we were told was the only place in town that is good - B Lounge in Poblado. It was going off, all reggaeton if I recall. Very cheap place, especially if you get the dreaded Aguardiente. The girls however were not very friendly here. The locals anyway. Some hostel chicks came later and they were down to party. Overall if you are here on a Wednesday might as well check it out as there probably is not much else going on.
•Thursday: Went to Babylon for ladies’ night. So in the beginning of the night, there are a lot of girls there without guys. They are all pretty young too. They love dancing there, with each other, on the tables, etc. We met a group of pharma girls that we all were dancing with and flirting with, very fun time. Got some numbers but didn’t go anywhere afterwards. Seems hard to pull a ONS here as the girls were very into the dancing aspect. This reggaeton thing is nuts. You grind the shit out a girl, in slow fashion for one song, then say thank you and move on. What a cocktease. It was here that I realized almost all girls will say yes to at least one dance, and then you can try to go from there. That’s where I got one girl’s number, but she lived at home and had no cell. So when I tried calling her mom kept picking up and saying she was not at home she was out working. Annoying. A funny side note is I met these two hot candian chicks there and they said they were just traveling around for a few months, and had met “a friend” in costa rica that had been traveling with them for the past month. Turns out it was some guy that was banging both of them for the past month and just going with them wherever they went. That is quite the setup.
•Friday: This is where we made maybe the best move of our trip. We went to La Strada (kinda like an outdoor mini mall with restaurants/bars) because we were told there is a club there called Crista that goes off. So we went early, had dinner then went to this martini lounge inside called Dry Martini. We were sitting next to two guys, who we could tell they just crush poon on a daily basis. Very tall, good looking guys dressed extremely well. So I just asked them where should we go tonight. And the told us 3 places for hot girls: Aqua (in La Strada), The End (in Barrio Colombia), and Spazio 44 (in Diez Hotel in Poblado). So obviously since we were in La Strada we just went to Aqua. These guys did not lead us astray. Aside from the fact there were a lot of hot girls in there, they were also groups of single girls too (no guys). My buddy and I being from California, the prices were absurdly cheap in Medellin for bottles. So we asked how to get upstairs to the VIP, and she said you have to buy a decent bottle. So we got a bottle of Ciroc and redbulls for a total of $150 US. That is absurd given LA/Vegas prices so we had no hesitation. Got the bottle, got a great table upstairs and then approached this group of 8 girls, aged 18-20. Most were 19. They were also rich girls cause they had gotten their own bottle of Aguardiente and were with no guys. Invited them up to our table and everything was going great. Then, and this is very sad, one of the girls kept feeding me shots of Aguardiente and I ended up getting sick. It really sucks too because my buddy and each had a girl really into us but had to leave because of my dumb ass. My buddy was making out with one and apparently another one would not leave my side at all. I had to be told this because I blacked out after all those shots. To my defense, when a hot 19yo is offering you shots and drinking with you it is hard to turn down. Nonetheless, I am an idiot.
•Saturday: We went to The End, or “El Fin” as the Colombians like to call it. It is in the Barrio Colombia area. First when we got there, the guy said you can’t come in as 2 single guys. So we asked what if we get a bottle, and he goes ok but it has to be a premium bottle. Eventually we figured out that means we need to buy a bottle that is at least $50 US, so we obviously did. Got in got a bottle but we were not let up into the VIP area. This place got busy very late, like 1am. So just keep that in mind if you want to go. Eventually started talking to some girls, etc. Made friends with the guys at the table next to us and they started throwing girls at us from their group. Got a few numbers but again nothing materialized given I was leaving in a few days. There were some goddamn stunners here, like objective 9s. Not too friendly though. We met two girls who spoke english and one of them was the best dance I danced with this entire trip so far. Could not believe how sensually she moved. But I lost her and she went back with some other group of guys. Very fun place I will say, just know that the girls will ALL be with guys. One of the girls I was dancing with I could have made out with, but didn’t then I saw her making out with some other guy. No matter though as her friends pulled her away at the end and nobody got boned. Ended up going to a strip club at the end of the night just to see what it was all about - Face Dos. Interesting place, basically its a brother cause you can bone anyone. Left after 20 minutes.
•Sunday: The goddamn night out of the Hangover. We were not expecting much, but decided to go out since it was our last night in Medellin. Went to dinner at Oveida Mall, not a soul in sight. I remember in Roosh’s book he said Karma in Barrio Colombia was a good place for Sundays, and I looked it up online and they did have some event going on. So we went and the lady in front was nice enough to tell me it is dead in there, maybe I should walk around for a bit. So we did and we saw a huge crowd at this place called Luxury down the street. Right when we walked up, we say the guys we were partying with last night and they said they have a table, come join them just purchase your own drinks. Obviously we were stoked so we went in with them and the place was just rocking. A very important note - the quality of the girls upstairs in the VIP was 100x better than the girls downstairs. The girls upstairs may have been the best looking of the entire trip. Anyway we were all partying upstairs, dancing with girls, etc. Very fun time. At one point I looked out and noticed that at 6ft, I was the tallest person there, guys and girls. Medellin is a very short city. Got some smiles from girls, went to talk and dance but again this was our last night so my only objective/hope was a one night stand. Not much going on for that. Fast forward to like 5 am, the bar closes and one of the guys we partied with last night (let’s call him Jon) and the one that invited us up to his table said let’s keep partying. So we did. Got into a cab and he goes do you trust me? Now this guy had done nothing but pull us girls, invite us to his table, give us more girls there and didn’t even ask for anything in return (they had gotten their own drinks up there). So obviously we said yes, he went into super fast convo with the cab driver and we ended up at some whorehouse in El Centro apparently called La Manzana. It was incredibly sketch place, to the point where we paid the cabbie to come in with us and stay there. So my buddy, the cabbie and Jon and I went inside. Now if you want to imagine the fucking wild west, I have never seen anything like it inside. First of all, I was the only even remotely non-colombian looking person in there. To the point where Jon and the cabbie said I should always be within eyesight of one of them. Putting that aside, the people inside were obliterated. There were people screaming, dancing, passed out on tables and the floor, including some girls I saw passed out. Whores were walking around dancing and taking shots, etc. At the table next to me, this guy was slamming his hand on the table every 15-30 seconds for no reason. At one point he starting blabbering something to me and shaking my hand, and would not let go for 3 minutes. If people had started shooting guns in the air I would have not been surprised. The insantiy levels here were off the charts. This Jon guy kept ordering bottles and then said he had no money, but that his brother ran the town here and we’d be made whole later and for us to pay. At this point we didn’t care much because Jon had hooked us up for two straight nights. Problem was they wouldn’t take a credit card and we were out of cash, so one of us had to go to the ATM. I sent my buddy since he looked Colombian, and Jon went with him and I stayed back with the Cabbie. This is when it got weird. The cabbie kept pounding shots and flirting with a whore, I was just sitting there with that crazy guy slamming the table next to me and yelling at me every once in a while, and my buddy had just disappeared. I tried calling him and he had left his phone with us. Damnit. I tried to get up and walk around, and the cabbie lunged at me and made a motion to his eye basically saying he has to be able to see me the whole time. So I sat down again. Finally, after an hour my buddy comes back and I am relieved. We pay the bill and leave that place at 7am, but not before Jon throws in 3 whores in our cab and we all go back to our place. We get there, the cabbie leaves and it’s me, my buddy and Jon and 3 whores. Get upstairs, Jon has no money so my friend takes 2 of the girls and I’m left with the other. I didn’t even want to do anything, I was so tired, so I just gave her some money and told her I’m done I want to go to sleep. I go back outside, Jon is gone and when my buddy comes out eventually we notice that Jon our supposed friend had stolen his Ipad and my jacket. The funny thing was in the cabride home I kept telling my buddy put away your Ipad, put away your Ipad. He should have listened. I guess in the end it was a crazy ass story. But just goes to show you not to trust anyone even if they seem overly friendly out help you out for multiple nights. I passed out for a few hours then we had to get our flight to Buenos Aires.
Conclusion:
If you are a decent looking guy, and maybe even if not, I think you can easily get laid and even have a hot girlfriend in Medellin. But you do need time, this is not a meet and bone society. If you like curves, shorter girls, younger girls, girls in braces (there were a lot), full asses, sexy ass girls, then this is your place. Personally, it is a little too wild for me to live in long term. My next write up will be about BA, which I know is not a favorite of this board but I absolutely loved. So we went and the lady in front was nice enough to tell me it is dead in there, maybe I should walk around for a bit. So we did and we saw a huge crowd at this place called Luxury down the street. Right when we walked up, we say the guys we were partying with last night and they said they have a table, come join them just purchase your own drinks. Obviously we were stoked so we went in with them and the place was just rocking. A very important note - the quality of the girls upstairs in the VIP was 100x better than the girls downstairs. The girls upstairs may have been the best looking of the entire trip. Anyway we were all partying upstairs, dancing with girls, etc. Very fun time. At one point I looked out and noticed that at 6ft, I was the tallest person there, guys and girls. Medellin is a very short city. Got some smiles from girls, went to talk and dance but again this was our last night so my only objective/hope was a one night stand. Not much going on for that. Fast forward to like 5 am, the bar closes and one of the guys we partied with last night (let’s call him Jon) and the one that invited us up to his table said let’s keep partying. So we did. Got into a cab and he goes do you trust me? Now this guy had done nothing but pull us girls, invite us to his table, give us more girls there and didn’t even ask for anything in return (they had gotten their own drinks up there). So obviously we said yes, he went into super fast convo with the cab driver and we ended up at some whorehouse in El Centro apparently called La Manzana. It was incredibly sketch place, to the point where we paid the cabbie to come in with us and stay there. So my buddy, the cabbie and Jon and I went inside. Now if you want to imagine the fucking wild west, I have never seen anything like it inside. First of all, I was the only even remotely non-colombian looking person in there. To the point where Jon and the cabbie said I should always be within eyesight of one of them. Putting that aside, the people inside were obliterated. There were people screaming, dancing, passed out on tables and the floor, including some girls I saw passed out. Whores were walking around dancing and taking shots, etc. At the table next to me, this guy was slamming his hand on the table every 15-30 seconds for no reason. At one point he starting blabbering something to me and shaking my hand, and would not let go for 3 minutes. If people had started shooting guns in the air I would have not been surprised. The insantiy levels here were off the charts. This Jon guy kept ordering bottles and then said he had no money, but that his brother ran the town here and we’d be made whole later and for us to pay. At this point we didn’t care much because Jon had hooked us up for two straight nights. Problem was they wouldn’t take a credit card and we were out of cash, so one of us had to go to the ATM. I sent my buddy since he looked Colombian, and Jon went with him and I stayed back with the Cabbie. This is when it got weird. The cabbie kept pounding shots and flirting with a whore, I was just sitting there with that crazy guy slamming the table next to me and yelling at me every once in a while, and my buddy had just disappeared. I tried calling him and he had left his phone with us. Damnit. I tried to get up and walk around, and the cabbie lunged at me and made a motion to his eye basically saying he has to be able to see me the whole time. So I sat down again. Finally, after an hour my buddy comes back and I am relieved. We pay the bill and leave that place at 7am, but not before Jon throws in 3 whores in our cab and we all go back to our place. We get there, the cabbie leaves and it’s me, my buddy and Jon and 3 whores. Get upstairs, Jon has no money so my friend takes 2 of the girls and I’m left with the other. I didn’t even want to do anything, I was so tired, so I just gave her some money and told her I’m done I want to go to sleep. I go back outside, Jon is gone and when my buddy comes out eventually we notice that Jon our supposed friend had stolen his Ipad and my jacket. The funny thing was in the cabride home I kept telling my buddy put away your Ipad, put away your Ipad. He should have listened. I guess in the end it was a crazy ass story. But just goes to show you not to trust anyone even if they seem overly friendly out help you out for multiple nights. I passed out for a few hours then we had to get our flight to Buenos Aires.
Conclusion:
If you are a decent looking guy, and maybe even if not, I think you can easily get laid and even have a hot girlfriend in Medellin. But you do need time, this is not a meet and bone society. If you like curves, shorter girls, younger girls, girls in braces (there were a lot), full asses, sexy ass girls, then this is your place. Personally, it is a little too wild for me to live in long term. My next write up will be about BA, which I know is not a favorite of this board but I absolutely loved.
