Portugal - Lisbon & Cascais

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience in Lisbon & Cascais in meeting women and recommended places to go?
Going to be there for a couple of weeks so any tips or advice would be most welcomed!

Sorry this may be a bit lame. Advice on meeting women, no go, I only passed through there very briefly 2 years ago or so and am not an expert on Portugal [Image: undecided.gif].
I would give the Doca de Santo Amaro area a shot in the evening/late night. It is just a small section of harbourfront with restaurants, bars, dance areas, and I believe a karaoke bar. When I went it was a lively spot with what seemed mostly university-aged crowd (many dressed like pirates--the Portuguese university uniform). After having eaten at a restaurant there I chickened out of going into what seemed like the karaoke bar after half a dozen uni-girls walked in there with no men. I did not ply any game (I don't have any), but let me say, not having been to SA or EE, my money is on Portugese women as having the least amount of "Western type attitude" and bitch shields (except obviously the ridiculously attractive ones), but everyone's experience is different. Though maybe Lisbon relative to the rest of Portugal (esp. Northern Portugal) is a stuck-up/snooty cosmopolitan city.

In trying to recall the Doca area through Google, it seems that the Bairro Alto district is very happening area at night--I only went there during the day walking around, and going to a nice-sized Brazilian restaurant in a small mall. One Portuguese comment on Google says Bairro Alto it is the symbol of Lisbon nightlife. My guidebook at the time recommended avoiding the area at night, fack lol.

If you're not feeling one area, Portuguese cabs are cheap, could probably cost around €5 to jet to the other area?

Been to Lisbon a few times. Definetly head to Barrio Alto at night, its just basically a big area with loads and loads of bars and a good mix of locals, tourists and students. Most people just get drinks from the bars and drink on the street. Very easy to cruise around and meet people.

Best bet is then to try find a group of girls and bounce with them to one of the clubs at the bottom of Barrio Alto. Europa, Jamaica and Africa are 3 that come to mind, nothing too fancy about them but decent enough.

Another option is the mega club Lux which is on the water front somewhere. Its a big club with 2 levels and a huge roof terrace. Costs around €15-20 to get in (you get the amount back in drinks though) and there are plenty of hotties but bitch shields can be a problem. Also the door staff is quite picky about who gets in, still worth a look though.

Only went to the beach at Cascais during the day but its not a very nice beach and the water is freezing. Sure you could do some beach macking around there though.

I was in Portugal three years ago. It is a treasure in Europe that is not on the hot list for most travelers. It is the cheapest countries in western Europe along with Greece now. Bairro alto is the place to go for nightlife. It gets very crowded on the weekends. It is a maze of narrow lanes with lots of bars and places to restaurants. It gets so crowded that the party ends up hangin out in the street. You will find alot of college girls and some tourists hanging out. There are all kinds of music options and the bars tend to be very small. I found it to be generally a 20s crowd with an equal mix of men to women.

The docks or docas is right on one of the rivers. It is more upscale and attracts a slightly older crowd but you will also see some really hot women there. There are Some really nice bars, clubs and restaurants.

For sights def check out the castle of Sao Jorge and mosteiro jeranimos. Lisbon is home to the best custard in the world. I found the Portuguese women to be initially reserved but with a little conversation they warm up easily. If you like short and petite women them this is your place. There are tons of 7 s and 8 around and they are easily approachable. Day game is a really good way to go as the women are friendly.

Btw you can get to bairro alto and docks by the subway which is good and cheap

Thanks heaps guys.
Sounds like its going to be a tough call to find anything there at all in Lisbon & Cascais.
I`ll guess i`ll just use the trip to practice my approaches. Maybe try the Irish pubs and see if i can hit on any tourists maybe.
But all hope is not lost - i`ll just get out there and see what happens.
Thanks again!

Go on the "We Hate Tourism Tours" to do club crawls and all day tours. You'll meet girls local and tourists alike. I went and it was great. Met cool people and had enjoying non-touristy spots of the city.
