Sorry this may be a bit lame. Advice on meeting women, no go, I only passed through there very briefly 2 years ago or so and am not an expert on Portugal

I would give the Doca de Santo Amaro area a shot in the evening/late night. It is just a small section of harbourfront with restaurants, bars, dance areas, and I believe a karaoke bar. When I went it was a lively spot with what seemed mostly university-aged crowd (many dressed like pirates--the Portuguese university uniform). After having eaten at a restaurant there I chickened out of going into what seemed like the karaoke bar after half a dozen uni-girls walked in there with no men. I did not ply any game (I don't have any), but let me say, not having been to SA or EE, my money is on Portugese women as having the least amount of "Western type attitude" and bitch shields (except obviously the ridiculously attractive ones), but everyone's experience is different. Though maybe Lisbon relative to the rest of Portugal (esp. Northern Portugal) is a stuck-up/snooty cosmopolitan city.
In trying to recall the Doca area through Google, it seems that the Bairro Alto district is very happening area at night--I only went there during the day walking around, and going to a nice-sized Brazilian restaurant in a small mall. One Portuguese comment on Google says Bairro Alto it is the symbol of Lisbon nightlife. My guidebook at the time recommended avoiding the area at night, fack lol.
If you're not feeling one area, Portuguese cabs are cheap, could probably cost around €5 to jet to the other area?
