Originally planned to hit up Medellin but with the Universities shut down I am reconsidering. Hoping to stay in Bogota for a day upon arrival to do a little shopping (custom tailored suits!) and then head out to somewhere else (Medellin, Cali?).

Also want to add that I have been hitting up ColombianCupid hard for two days and have some amazing leads. Internet game is so much easier on CC than POF. My Spanish is limited but expanding quickly.

Best place to hit up in Colombia in January is Cartagena. Everybody and their grandparents from all over Colombia goes on vacation to Cartagena to relax after all the parties in December. Universities remain shutdown until Late January, then you can start taking trips to Barranquilla for their annual carnival in February.

Is January a bad time to visit Colombia? Would I be wise to bump it back to Feb or Mar?
