New York City

NYC's version of vapid and vain is a lot more objective than NJ and San Francisco. People in NYC are vain about your appearance, how you carry yourself, and how you present yourself as opposed to clinging on desperately to what clique you were in during college, who you know from their crew growing up, and who you are close with in their stupid little social circle. Some of these dudes are straight dorks too who wouldn't get shit without some cheap social circle gimmick.

You are right, NYC is one of if not the easiest cities in the world to get laid and I rather it stay that way. I have enjoyed success coming back to this mecca for game.

I get what you're saying a beer is enough, but don't worry about those cliques and other folks that you mention. It seems as if you've been having plenty of success since returning to NYC. And yeah, it would be nice to notch one of those suburbanite girls from outside the city, but there's no need to pedestalize them when you're already reaping the benefits of being around other (and probably more interesting) women.

NYC is only two hours away from my current city (Philadelphia), but the cities' two scenes couldn't be any more different. My dating and SNL options are more limited because of the insular social dynamics and much smaller volume of women to meet and approach outside of a night game context. There are some people who ask me what I miss about NYC, and I always tell them "the people". The mix of people and social dynamic that exists in NYC just does not exist anywhere else in the US. Right now, I'm stacking up and enjoying a better quality of life than I would get in NYC at my financial standing, but if I had the money for a spot in a good location of NYC, I'd be back in the city in a heartbeat.

Brother it is a sacrifice, I lucked out immensely with my place or I would be living in an old apartment having to fear for roaches and rats. At the end of the day it just comes down to your priorities and how much you are willing to sacrifice to get what you want. As a 25 yr old, I realized that it was going to mean a lot for me to have the most fulfilling and fun social experiences of my life even if my finances and standard of living take a hit. So far, I can say the sacrifice has been worth it.

I've been with a number of the suburbanite white girl types, not exactly from this part of the country though. My annoyance isn't due to their standards, it is due to the vibe they bring into bars that they can start to flood.

This whole ordeal reminds me so much of the South Park episode about Jersey Shore.

4. Now people from Jersey and some of the more narcissistic parts of the country (San Francisco for example as so many of them travel back and forth between east coast and west coast) start to infiltrate these spots, usually with their cliques because they want to show off how cool they are. The women in these cliques being narcissists who are status obsessed and not able to be gamed since they are there with their crew, trying to show off.

5. Thanks to number 4, now the spot becomes lame because no one wants to go to a bar or nightclub to game Jersey, Bridge Tunnel, and Bay Area narcissists. Plus even if they wanted to, they could not because of the cliquishness of these crowds along with a host of other issues. Club starts to charge cover more often as well.

6. Residents of the city, including the women, can kind of pick up on the fact that the place is starting to feel really cliquey instead of just a fun cool place to have a great time at. It gets a reputation of being "touristy" and so people start to flock to other places to escape the Jersey and status hungry tourist crowds, eventually starting step 1 all over again.

I just sometimes wonder why so many Jersey folks and people from the more narcissistic cliquey areas of America (aka the Bay Area) come to NYC so much. Like seriously, don't San Francisco and New Jersey have bars? Can't they just stay over there and stop ruining the vibe in NYC?

ahaha, funny. Those Jersey/LI cliques in NYC are the equivalent of the "Persian bros" in LA, who are infamous for ruining what started out as great, almost special, places.

They travel in packs, rolling up to the spots in luxury cars that most likely Baba paid for, wearing cheap cologne and readjusting their Balenciaga hats every few minutes to make sure everybody can see the name. The hot girls eventually stop coming because these guys think running "good game" consists of hitting on anything that moves by bragging about their rich Saudi friends.

You can even make out a bit of the formula behind the process: (1) the cool kids start something unique, which (2) initially attracts those within overlapping circles that share a similar "culture" with the founders, but which then (3) becomes a victim of its own success and begins attracting the wrong crowd (who don't care about whatever it was that made it special in the first place).

At that point, the founders would (and should) either sell the venture or step back from it in a big way, taking their crew with them.

While I wouldn't put it in the same words as Clint ^^ above, I'd agree that it's best you just ignore them and live your own best life. Isn't it punishment enough that they live where they do and come from the cultures they do lol

LOL you understand my friend.

I guess I care in the sense that ever since reading this forum and material by Roosh, I can see how beautiful places for game can turn into absolute hellholes when too much of the wrong crowd contaminates them.

With the expansion of tech giants into the big apple, I can only imagine how many of the San Francisco crowd will start to flood the nightlife of this city, ruin its culture which favors younger single men with their shit together, and lower the quality of game here. Hopefully there is something to offset that so far, what the game is here in NYC is beautiful, it is truly something else.

I'll ignore them as long as they continue to live where they do, let's keep bringing in the sexy international talent and cool folks into this city! [Image: banana.gif][Image: banana.gif][Image: banana.gif][Image: banana.gif]

Do you realize that this "culture" which favors younger single men with their shit together is what destroyed original NYC culture to begin with? NYC (Manhattan at least) used to be very cheap and dangerous. The city became increasingly expensive, and many of it's older inhabitants were forced out because of the price. This isn't a personal attack on you or anything, but this attitude is exactly what pisses me off about NYC the most (as somebody who was born there). A bunch of transplants moving into the city, thinking they're the shit just because they live there, and thinking they're more entitled to be there than someone else.

NYC is a fast paced city and gets increasingly worse every year (it becomes prohibitively more expensive, more gay, and flooded with annoying hipster types).

Leaving NYC (and moving overseas) was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I'd encourage everybody else to do the same if you find yourself spending 80% of your paycheck on rent in some dump.

I was born in NYC, too, and spent a winter and summer there in my early-20s. As a straight guy into women and sports, I have no interest in hanging out with any gay guy, but the volume of gay guys makes the competition for women laughable. This is especially evident in Greenwich Village (the neighborhood where NYU and Washington Square Park are). The high volume of fruitcakes is a blessing in disguise for us dudes who have the nuts to approach women.

I really LOLed at this.

Being from an insular blue collar town in the tri state (and mingling with other Staten Island/Long Island/NJ crews), what Beer says is all too true. I see some of the hottest girls from my high school pairing up with some low wage loser who never left our town but was popular in high school.

These people primarily go to Meatpacking and rooftops because they want to instagram the pictures and pretend they are high status. You'd think that they would come to the city alone and try to sample the thousands of high value, successful, well traveled men instead of sticking to union guys and taking a $100 cab ride home.

However it's not specific to blue collar NJ crowds, I see the same shit with some of the people I went to college with. In my experience, women under 25 who had the "big school" experience will carry her entire posse of girlfriends and 10-25% of the guys which is just as big of a clique as these Jersey people run in. It's a more educated, classier version of the Staten Island crowd, but still the same phenomenon.

I actually have a decent amount of success with these types of girls though, as my background and vibe is sort of blue collar like theirs but I've "made it" as opposed to a investment banker who went to Ivy, grew up in Waspyville, and has nothing in common with them.

I will defend Hoboken/Jersey City however. Beer shits on it because he likely went out downtown, close to the train station where all of the young NJ kids take the train and hit the bars. If you actually go out to the right spots, you'll find the people who actually live in Hoboken. Although it's much less diverse and international than the city, the people who live there are successful and educated professionals who are looking for a quieter option to NYC. Jersey City is filled with Indian professionals and I have dated some extremely attractive and wealthy Desis from there.

I was 1 week in nyc recentrly and I loved it. Best city I have been to. There is so much to to do in manhatten, doesnt matter which time or day. You dont even have to go to bar to game, just stay at the subway. Manhatten is full of young people eager to meet other people. I approached some girls in the train and asked for instagram and going out together. I got 1 lay in that week. That was one girl I approached in the subway. I went out with her and some different groups. Manhatten is all about living there for a few years and meet many new people. You still have to put the work in, but it is easier and more fun because the people react differently.

I don't think people realize that until ~the mid 90s NY was still ghetto as fuck.

Times Square was all porn shops and people were getting murked in broad daylight ~Ktown/Penn Station

Manhattan is a millionaire's playground now

I'm probably never leaving NYC. Further breaking into the European niche is my goal for the 2020s.
