Regarding crime..
I'm white, so... yes I'm going to be more of a target probably. But on the other hand, they are also more afraid to mess with us since we are more likely to get true police work to help us out as tourists.
Anyhow, I had plenty of Dominican friends that got robbed at gunpoint, so the crime isn't just at white folks.
The best girlfriend I had in DR I met at a large supermarket. She was a solid 8. She didn't really beg me for money, but she was a nag about me trying to save money by not getting a beachfront hotel room when we left SD to take a weekend vacation nearby. (I got a decent place that was a few blocks from the beach). Later she wanted me to marry her... I was like "why would I marry someone that is already complaining and annoying me?". She seemed like a pretty good girl though, relative to DR. Her family in the US knew a guy who wanted to marry her, but she wasn't attracted to him. I told her that she could make a fortune in the US compared to DR but she said she would only marry for love.
I had another girlfriend who was probably a 7.5. She was religious though, we never banged or did anything. She took me to her church one day.
Another girl was a single mom. She would come over to bang and I would give her a few dollars for food, plus cover her bus trip to my place. She was very sweet.
All these girls still write to me. None asks me for money.
I think many of the girls in DR are sweet and naive. But in the tourist areas it's different. Yes, most of the girls you will run into are going to see you as a walking ATM. You just need to filter through that. Girls here show their true colors in about 20 minutes usually. You can usually tell the girls who just want the money.
I agree with some of the other posts here, that it's still a lot better to help a girl out with a few bucks in DR for her food and baby clothes than to wine and dine a western girl. However, my dates in the US always were cheap as possible. And I never went on a 2nd date that wasn't my house or hers. When I did go for dinner I usually asked the girl to split the check. Later after we banged, a girl would tell me that she thinks I'm an asshole for splitting the bill. Further proof that girls like assholes, haha.
Two comments on the questions you answered.
I will actually be staying in punta cana for the majority unfortunately. It's for my friends wedding which I am standing in. I do really want to go outside of it, but I have heard that right outside the resorts is where crime is most dangerous, people actively target tourists. Would say that this is more common in punta cana than a capital like santo domingo?
Should i travel alone outside of punta cana? Or should I at the very least get a feel for it ( staying 10 days).
Do want to invite a chick back to my place at the resort, but seems like they're pretty strict on the all inclusive thing.
Dominican girls butts are huge (maybe bigger than brazilian?), even though some of their faces aren't soo pretty. This has me thinking with my dick.
I would recommend trying to go to a big nightclub. You can hopefully meet a middle class dominican girl. Check out some of the bars near the beach in Bavaro (that's where I lived). Daygame is not that great, except perhaps for at the beach with tourists.
Really, I didn't get much action in Bavaro/Punta Cana. Just not enough local women IMO to approach all day. However, they're definitely out there. If you meet one you like, you can take her to a love motel. Like $7 for a few hours, maybe more. Any taxi driver or motorcycle taxi will know where the closest one is.
Generally, Punta Cana area is not as dangerous IMO as SD. So I think it's fairly safe to explore, as long as you know where you are going (plan ahead of time), and don't go off on some crazy adventure into someone's house, car, etc that you don't know. (I've done that a few time though and I survived). So, yes, you can take a bus or a taxi to the nightlife spots, mall, etc. I took the local bus mostly.
If you are sporting a real rolex you may be robbed, rolls of cash on display, etc. However, there are other good people out there too... I left my wallet on a bus with $300 and a dominican teen brought it to me before the bus rolled away (in SD). Most Dominicans are good people, but many are also gangsters. Just like the US. Unfortunately, those gangster types are particularly violent sometimes and rob many people at gunpoint.
