This tool, Cary Dolego, got caught out there. On the surface, he would appear to be a bright man, but he's a prime example of how pussy/love can cloud a man's thinking. This could have REALLY ended badly for him...

Does not make any sense.

Why were his bank accounts "frozen"? And why the fuck would he be going after a Bachelors degree at the age of 50, a year before he was running for State Governor?

Does not make any sense why someone who was running for Governor (You must have a ton of money/financial backing to pull this off) have his Checking accounts frozen in US?

Only time you get your accounts frozen are for tax evasion reasons, or you are in the middle of a murder trial and keep you from leaving the country as you are considered a flight risk.

Last, anyone who gives financial access to their bank accounts, or anyone they meet over the internet deserves to be tarred and feathered! Why the fuck would anyone do this? My own mother does not know how much money I have, nor is she authorized on any of my financial banks, and this is my MOM whom I love to death!

Political candidates don't get to keep and spend funds left over from runs for office. Those funds are kept in a warchest for future runs, or are even given to the party for use by other candidates. Also, ANYONE can run for political office - even you or me. It's possible that he didn't raise much money at all, considering he doesn't seem like someone anyone would know or vote for.

What really shocks me is he sold everything and rolled to the Ukraine without any business contacts lined up, and without talking on the phone with the chick first. If he had spoken with her, the scam would have been sorted out. The fact he had almost no money on him, and got kicked out of his room makes me wonder what his deal is. There has to more to this story - as Mixx questioned...why is his account frozen? Why didn't he call someone back in Arizona when he got in trouble, so they could either send him money or buy him a plane ticket home? Dude is shady...it's like he gave up his life and was running to the Ukraine to marry this chick (who didn't even know who he was) and never come back.

You mean ANYONE with abundant financial means to campaign themselves can run for office. My political friends always pop their faces around election time so that I can contribute campaign funds and money for their election. It's always about money when it comes to politics.

Elections are won with money! Obama was not broke or ever was broke, even in College!

The more bankrupt you are, the more you won't even have funds to create flyers for your campaign. And this guys sounds like he was dead broke - well, we now find out he was broke, and homeless.

Yes Mixx, you need money if you're going to have a chance to win, but ANYONE can file a petition and theoretically run. You don't need money up front to enter a political race. You obviously have to put together your organization, fundraising, etc. When the article states he "ran" for Governor, that doesn't mean he was a MAJOR candidate. In primaries, there are tons of candidates for office, but with each passing week more and more of them drop out because they can't raise money. Also, there are no real educational requirements for running for office other than maybe a high school diploma. To run for President, you only need to have been born in the US and be 35 years old. That's it. Naturally, most average citizens don't decide to run for office, but that's really the only criteria you have to meet. How long you can actually stay in the race depends on how much money you can raise. I would assume this guy was some sort of fringe candidate that had to drop out early, but maybe got himself mentioned in a local newspaper...
