I'm more of a biker, but I love exotic cars. However, my all time favorite is 69 Camaro SS.

Great car AIE, can definitely understand what you meant when girls in USA commented on your clothes being 'non-American."

Thanks man. That's definitely not a representation of how I normally dress btw [Image: smile.gif]

I just bought a 2012 Nissan GTR Black Edition last year and it was a really good purchase all in all. This car gave and still gives me serious wood. Now that I've been driving it for a while I will say while performance wise it hits it out the park, Audi has a superior audio/video setup. Their MMI is better than anything out there as it relies on the internet and not preloaded maps for navi which is important for guys that drive internationally. I've taken my car between the EU and US and having to not use your phone for Navi is awesome. Plus it lets you dump all kinds of video and audio files into the HDD to watch while you're stuck in traffic. The GTR only lets you watch them off DVD's and usb sticks. Their HDD is basically used to rip cd's.

If I had to choose any other car, I'd probably go with something German like an Audi R8, a Merc E63 AMG or an M5. My GTR can keep up with all of them, but German car companies really just go the extra mile on the tech stuff. Not to mention their warranty's are awesome.

Very good car for the money. They made some changes in the last year or two to it which makes the car even quicker, in the corners and in straight line, and they will bump up the power again next year.

Yeah but so far the most important iteration seems to have been the 2012. Not saying that because I have one. It went from 485 hp to 530 between 2011 and 2012, not to mention other cosmetic stuff and more carbon fiber. IDK I wouldn't buy a 2013 as it's not worth it money wise. $107,000 for 15 more HP? That's stupid. For $107,000 I'd get a used R8 V10.

I'm keeping an eye on the new NSX. This thing could be a game changer like the GTR.

Guys, I am a professional test driver. If you have any questions or want car advice, I've driven 99% of what's out there.

That's what's up! How did you get that job?

2.8 0-60 time is hard to beat. I don't know if you watch top gear but the GTR went from 1.19x down to 1.17x around their track with some updates.

Hybrid system on a sports car might turn out to be a game changer.

I like trucks, and live in normally snowy WI, so this is my daily driver.

Looking to upgrade to an Escalade EXT like this;

I love musclecars so this is my toy;

I'd love to get a CTS-V coupe for a summer driver. 556 HP is just too much fun!

Or a Corvette Z06 Carbon Centennial Edition would be badass.

Hell, a Camaro SS Convertible would make a sweet summer driver and they aren't terribly expensive and still have 426HP.

I don't really go for the over the top exotics that have limited functionality.

1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA - Hopefully I can run one of these in a vintage race like Laguna Seca or somewhere in Europe.

1971 Aston Martin DBS

Childhood Hooptie - 83 Buick Regal....
My dad used to pick me up from school in the Hooptie and I
used to be so embarrassed.

It would make all this noise and the overhead upholstery
would sag so much that it would drape over my dad's head..

But damn, do I want that car back and roll in front of a
Hollywood Club.. sagging upholstery and all.

You have good taste, that Aston is one of my fave's. I am also a big fan of the Alfa's, love the spider. Late 60's, early 70's was a great period for cars perhaps the best period.

Maserati Quattroporte

My favorite car too, the old model Jaguar XJR is a good second.

Almost any AUDI would do it for me too.

I used to have a car similar this : http://www.volksforum.com/albums/files/1/2/5/THBB06.jpg

I had to sell it when i bought a house in 1999. It hurt when i saw the new owner drive off with it. If i ever make a lot of money i would buy one again. If they still exist, only 5000 of this Golf 2 rallye model were build in the early 90's

AIE, Kudos dude that's a sweet ride.
I'm eyeing this baby now: http://www.lexus.ca/lexus/experience/en/...series=isc
Now, for the guys mechanically versed like elmec, is the difference between the 2 versions of the models I posted worth the extra 8k? Or would I be better of putting that money towards some other options on that ride? Which options would you elmec and other car pros would recommend on that Lexus IS? Anyone driven that car? How does it rate/fare against the competition? Is it worth the money?

After that, the cars I'd be looking at 2-3 years from now would be an Aston Martin DB9 and then, when I really reach a millionaire's level, then my dream car is the McLaren MP4-12C which is my dream car and being a long time McLaren fan in F1, it's my obvious choice.

Simply Breathe-taking! The closest you'll get to driving a Formula 1 car on a normal road. Unreal experience. Can't wait to get behind that machine. [Image: smile.gif]

If you want F1 experience, google the Ariel Atom. THAT is the closest thing by far.
Hits 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds for a base price of $40,000. Check it out

Thanks! What happened to the IS F? They're not making them anymore?
