Speaking louder

I was recently told by family members and friends that I sometimes speak too soft. I never realized this. When gaming women, speaking soft would be a major disadvantage if you ask me. What have you done to optimize your voice?

I record myself going through scripted material and play it back. I listen for inflection, volume, tone, and to make sure the story sounds natural and not canned.

Hold your chin up, open your mouth wider when you speak, imagine you're speaking to someone four feet behind her.

Make sure your voice is as deep as it can be without you soundling like you're trying to talk with a deep voice. Most people have several tones and levels that they hold their voice at - use a lower town.

Project, project, project.

Get your inner game on lock. You'll notice extra confident, out-going people tend to yell when they talk. You don't have to be that loud, but just act - and speak - as if most everyone in your vicinity wants to hear the shit you're saying.

Say it with your chest, lil n......!!!!

No on the real, you need to get your chest out so that the sound will oscillate accordingly in your lungs before you project it onto the unwitting lizards that scarper around you.

Now, I find that my voice deepens when I bench heavy or have a cold. I called one of my lizards the other day when I had a bit of a cold and she was pleased by the base in my voice.

Don't catch a cold but get your weight up...on your chest.

Hope that helps.

People often ask me to repeat myself - so I know exactly how you feel. We discussed something similar in an earlier thread. See: http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-7160.html

What has helped me is consciously dialing up the volume when I want to be heard. It doesn't feel right the first few times, but then it starts to settle in. As the poster above suggested, projecting your voice several feet across the room is a good way to train your diaphragm and has definitely helped me. I still come across people with naturally booming voices and feel like I'll never get there, but it's better to hone what I already have instead of coveting another man's gifts.

MikeCF, a respected member of this board, recommended reading a book called 'Voice Power,' so that's next on my list.

This is no joke. Theater trained actors have to learn to project to the back of the theater, so watching and listening to actors can be helpful.

yes i did that. i was VERY helpful. he has very good articulation, he speaks rather slowly and clearly he has that masculine intensity. also he kind of flows when he speaks i can't explain it.

epitome of voice projection was him in 'training day". that's alpha voice to the fullest. there is cool scene excluded from the final movie.

watch how when he just talks to that rookie he's flowing, accenting some words, using breaking rapport tonality etc which makes it great to listen. and of course.. when he kicks some game hahahaha

If a bitch can't hear you, how the can you express your desire to defile her body?

Donald Duck, go and hang out with a group of Nigerians. It's impossible to communicate with them (in general) without raising your speech volume significantly. After a while, it will just become second nature (to you).
Even their lizards are noisy.

I learned to project my voice from doing drama when I was younger. Improv you have no mics or anything so you learn to project your voice in a clear tone. I would recommend taking a few classes/workshops in your area. I'm sure it could even help with game by making you more witty and quick on your feet during conversations. Might even be some fine actress whom are taking the class also you can hit up.

I speak softer on purpose, if forces women to lean into you, and adds a sense of mystery.

Talk to people from a distance. People hear your voice projected towards them and know you are talking specifically to them, practice this and it will help with your voice. I've even tried how far away I can be, done openers from 30 feet and let their body language response invite me in. I also think it displays confidence, you are willing to make that distance yours by projecting across it, like how it's said alphas take up space when they sit, you can also take up space this way.
