Not to be the asshole who makes lite of the situation, but thats has to be the least gangster way for a rapper to die.

Apparently, he didn't die in the manner described in the initial reports. He didn't die in a fall down the stairs. He was having trouble breathing when he entered his condo, and collapsed on a walkway outside the condo. He was conscious and talking when paramedics arrived, but died at the hospital.

Do you think his weight was a contributing factor? Although he did lose a lot of weight. I just saw Fat Joe on a clip recently and he is no longer fat. Dude should be called Slim Joe from now on.
Weight is a killer.
No word yet on cause of death, but you'd believe his former weight issues, and/or asthma, had something to do with it. While Heavy D and Fat Joe never reached the level that Big Pun was weight-wise when he died, sometimes the damage done by being so heavy doesn't repair itself if you lose weight later on.

There is no reason why guys with so much fame, money and power are so obese.
They have the money, and connections to hire personal cooks, trainers, have top of the line weight training equipment at home, and can pay for expensive YOGA classes without breaking a sweat.
MTV cribs shows these guys having home movie theaters, pool tables, 20 cars parked outside, massive pools, but never do I see a bad-ass gyms in their houses....notice that?

Heavy D lost a lot of weight in the past 10 years, before he died. He was still pretty pudgy, but he wasn't completely obese like Big Pun.

That being said, Mixx is right..
If he would have keep himself in better shape, he would have been banging models for another 40 years.

Good point. Their lifestyles are all about excess, and that extends to food. For famous people, particularly men, where their looks/weight isn't crucial for maintaning popularity or has a negative affect on their work, it can easily happen. There's nothing you ever have to deny yourself. You'll have tons of everything you like within arms reach. You'll eat what tastes good, instead of what's best for you. You'll have a full liquor cabinet with the best top-shelf booze, and whole refrigerators full of beer. For guys that have the propensity for eating poorly anyway, give them money and it'll only get worse, to a point where they'll eat themselves into the grave.

This brings up one thing I've never been able to fathom, how do fat black guys make that shit work so well? Fat white guys are never able to own the persona that comes along with being overweight and make it work for them, yet I see black dudes who are twice the size they should be who are pimpin hard and have girlies lining up all night.
And yes I realize the obvious and simple answer is "game" but whats the difference between fat guy game and every other guy? And why does it seem to be race specific?

1) Dude did lose weight
2) In 80 and early 90's the whole lifestyle coach thing didn't catch on yet.
3) Up north you can fat and still the coolest dude out there.
I almost forgot about this one
