You should read my datasheet on Europe. I wrote it a while ago, and from the perspective of a black dude living here. A few points if I may:

Hamburg is not bad. You could do worse. Stay north of Frankfurt IMO.

Keep the military shit to yourself. Don't even joke about that. You have the benefit of being nowhere near an American base so use it.

St. Pauli is where you wanna focus on. The Reeperbahn is like the village in NYC and the Vegas strip rolled into one. Lot's of shit to do and look at. The Reeperbahnfest is every year and it's nice.

Soccer games can be fun too. St. Pauli has a shitty team but they're rivals with just about everyone in the Bundesliga so there games are fun to watch.

Go to the fachhochschule as soon and as often as you can and learn to speak German. It helps and German girls think black American guys who speak German are so adorably cute

Keep your swag to a minimum. Wearing suites, dark colors, blazers and jeans are the best option I'd say. German guys fucking hate dude's they see as "showing off" and will fuck with you.

Don't sleep on the areas outside of Hamburg. NRW is right under you and have some of the most open minded German broads around. Not as hot as Bavarian girls but really open minded. Places like Duisburg, Muenster, Duesseldorf, Cologne, and Dortmond come to mind.

Check out club index near Nordhorn, Germany. They have hip hop festivals every month and you can pull some hotties. That's where I pulled my latest 10 (Polish/Russian/American mix... mmmm).

Lots of chances to get foreign flags in Hamburg too. You'll probably be the only brother on the Reeperbahn not selling anything, like I was. Don't let this discourage your game. Roll out with a group of classmates or even better Germans when you go out and you'll be fine.

RE are regional trains that go from village to village. ICE and inter city expresses that go to far out places and other countries. IC's are in the middle of those two Germany has an excellent train system.

Mitfahrezentrale is a ride sharing website. It can be a fast and cheap way to get around Germany and more, and you might make some friends in the process. The people who give people rides on this website tend to be douchebag free.

German chicks aren't hung up on how big your apartment is, so if you live in the dorm you can still get loads of pussy. Just be careful, German people in general are VERY nosy and will be all up in your business, so if you're known as the guy who always brings girls home you'll get hated on by the people in your building. Keep that to a minimum. Actually come to think of it, I don't think you can avoid that LOL. Germans I've met have a stereotype of black men being poonhounds anyway so if you bring just one home I can imagine the rumors already starting. So I can't help you there lol.

Depending on where you're from, I'd focus on telling chicks about the states during my game. They like to hear about that.

You'll have a blast. I'm kinda jealous cause it's Hamburg. You (or your school) picked a really really good part of Germany to chill in. North Germany is truly what you make it, and depending on the circles you roll out with and the girls you date you can be totally insulated from the other side of Deutschland currently being played out on N-24 every night in the form of immigrant backlash.Being a student and all, most people that you will interact with will know you're not there to mooch off the system and will treat you a lot better than say, an African immigrant that's been there for 15 years and still can't speak the language. I can't believe I missed this post until now. Filled with good shit.
You're making this seem like a walk in the part.
I spent 5 weeks in the Harz mountains last summer and had a ass ton of fun.This forum already has some odd problems on race and whatnot so I'm gonna leave that out.
But-I actually didn't have many people think I was African. I guess I don't really have the immigrant look(Minus this Turkish couple that though I sold weed cause I had a backpack and was in a Doener Shop)
In a couple cities I hit up like Halle and Madgeburg for day trips I could tell African blacks right of the bat. I guess since of alot of them look Nigerian or east african looking.


Ill have to look into a Bahncard and the prices. Last time I was there I was just paying for individual trains and the occasional SchonesWochenende ticket.

Im also not worried about the language..I speak near fluent, but can't pick up regional accents yet
But I normally open up in English anyway so I have the advantage and/or show Im American by my accent.( I normally dumb my german down until later in the night when I can pull the *alcohol is helping me speak* card anyway)

I wouldnt say Im a risk taker, but Ive even made it out to a couple rural areas of Germany and never had any race problems. Old people seem to love me the second I start speaking german. Even got invited to a birthday party of a German Politician.

This post is years old but spot on.

German chicks loved me and I got the ( youre german is cute) dozens of times.

I had a single bed for a good month before I upgraded..and I banged and slepted with chicks on that single bed. They didnt mind sleeping over. ( I got the bigger bed for me though)
