Good story-- It sounds like you kind of pick out some innocuous detail, ramble about it sort of an absurd way with a little challenging content to her ( like her face vs the pen, do you need a ride?) and escalate at the same time.
Maybe they're so confused by the odd content and tone of what you're doing it:
1) Makes it OK for them to act odd
2) Gets them too anxious/ excited to present usual "keep life boring" defenses.

Yeah, it's all those things. But it's also the tone of voice and demeanor. The guy speaks with utter confidence. Seriously, watch these videos. Do you ever get the sense that he's worried he may not go over well? Because, quite frankly, sometimes he doesn't! Yet he presses on until his audience gives way to his cheeky British charm.
So, in a way we're talking about just an observational opener. But it's said with an exaggerated self-confidence and sexual innuendo. Plus, whatever her reaction you respond rapidly with a witty response. Which is different than what we're used to, isn't it? Normally we think an alpha male should be non-reactive and slow to respond. Yet this seems to work better.
My suspicion is that being non-reactive and aloof works best once a girl's been hooked. But for most men who aren't physical specimens, the girl won't be hooked so quickly.

He's daring about negging (repeatedly negged Mila J hard, but then pulled back and said "Joking!" like 3-4 times)....one time was really just pretty rude as well as unnecessary, they were marketing their clothing line and he commented on how ugly they were. I think it was actually bad for rapport, but they were so into him they let it go. He was open about digging Uma Thurman.
You're right about shifting something about the interaction into sexuality, it makes them feel free to flirt and by continuing to talk to you they tacitly show approval of the sexual frame.
To some degree I think the guy is not really in control of what he is doing, he's a little nuts. Looks, quick wit, brains, fame, money and excitement are doing it, but actually I don't think he needs to do half the mean stuff he does.
he;s a boss. sure he fucks up from time to time.
he's like a tennis player trying to paint the lines on every groundstroke. when on fire and he's not missing he takes game to a whole other level.

Yesterday a friend of mine mentioned Russell Brand and a book he wrote that I should read. An said that Brand wrote in the book that acting gay is the best way to bang women.
The conversation all started cuz I called him a homo.

He was just recently chucked out of a GQ party (by the editor):
Russel Brand accuses fashion designer of helping Hitler
"There's nothing like the presence of some Nazis to ruin a perfectly good party.
On Tuesday night, the comedian Russell Brand was thrown out of GQ magazine’s Men of the Year Awards after-show for making jibes about the event’s sponsor, Hugo Boss, and the fashion company’s historic links to the Nazi party.
While on stage, Brand told the gathered celebrities and politicians, ‘If anyone knows a bit about history and fashion, you know it was Hugo Boss who made uniforms for the Nazis.’
He then added, with less than subtle irony, ‘But they looked f***ing fantastic, let’s face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their religion and sexuality.’"

Yeah I saw that GQ thing and I think quite frankly it's pathetic and typifies this hyper sensitivity that is creeping across Britain.
Regarding Brand, he is the personification of one of the threads in the Everything Else section, about the player-slut double standard. Athlone wrote an amazing post about how women WANT a sexually successful man who at least posesses the ability to make a lot of women swoon, and has demonstrated it. Whereas we want a woman who makes heads turn, but is 'ours' and nobody else's. It was far more eloquently put than that, but anyway - Russell is a perfect example.

For a working class lad who skipped a fair amount of school to get off his face, he's fucking eloquent and smart. I'm sure he's fairly insufferable a lot of the time, but he comes across great in this interview.

not impressed with this interview. i think many of the people impressed with his vocab don't have an understanding of the actual definition of the words he uses. sometimes his word selection is really odd. and as orwell wrote, use a simpler, clearer word wherever possible. the ability to be concise is rare.
also take a breath or pause between sentences.
usually i'm a big fan of brand. this is the first interview i've hated on.

You have to understand the context in which he's being interviewed. Brand had to speak to Jeremy Paxman in that way to earn his respect. Paxman has a rep as being a scary inquisitor type figure, but Brand completely bowled him over and left him a little in awe. That's why it's impressive - especially considering the vastly different societal backgrounds the two have.

Good point. Paxman is an Oxford graduate, if I'm not mistaken. He hosts a quiz game called University Challenge where the questions are super-hard. He regularly goes at it with some of the toughest minds in politics and business on Newsnight, so to get the better of him is rare. (This info for others, not fellow Brits who know it already.)
I always thought he was an annoying cunt but he's pretty slick in these links you guys are posting.
I think he just has the type of personality that makes girls wet. I mean you can improve your humor and such but you can't really be someone completly different without coming off as unnatural. Dude was just born with charisma.

I saw him live and at the end of the show he basically said that he was happy to hang around and talk with whomever but to not go back stage with him unless you are willing to have sex.

I think he evokes a lot of negative opinion, on a certain type of forum (bodybuilding ones I'm thinking) because he steps on the notion that you have to be pretty big, or at least athletic to be attractive to women. Personally, for my inner game I do like being in shape, however it's pretty obvious it isn't really a prerequisite. He's not exactly fat though I suppose.

I do like Russell Brand's type of comedy he's a hilarious guy look at how these middle aged women pine for him when he went on loose women.
But I don't agree with him in the fact that he's a bleeding heart liberal this is a discussion between him and Peter Hitchens about drug laws where he resorts to the usual jibes when faced with someone with a differing opinion i.e. bigot etc.

Yeah, his political opinions often jar with my own, but as far as game is concerned, he's excellent. He's your typical bohemian lefty. At least he isn't what Americans call a SWPL though, he came from a shitty background at least.

He has amazing game combined with being famous, good looking, tall, charming, eloquent.
Something I've noticed about him, sometimes he has this intense yet empty gaze, with nothing behind the eyes.

valhalla
But still, notice that he has a certain extravagant twitchy body language when he's making a point he cares about
The thing is he gets away with it, cos he has the attributes mentioned by Valhalla, tall, good looking, charismatic, status, etc
If the average schlub tried making the same points with equivalent body language as Brand, it wouldn't have near the same impact

That was terrific. No man's woman is safe when he's around - you simply wouldn't have any other option except to mutilate him.
Edit: Something people haven't commented on Russell Brand which makes him so so desirable to speak to is his strangeness. His speed of talking, deliberate pausing and harsh wording when speaking means people are almost interested in him due to his weirdness. He also is a firm believer in the Mysterys Methods but I think his general body language and tonality should be thought about more, it truly is genius.
This guy is amazing at rambling on..... I've never seen a man on this level

I've noticed he compliments women a lot without seeming because he's much higher value
