The dude runs on lightning quick wit plus an endless hat of colorful phrases and routines, weaving it all together into a rapid fire narrative that whisks the girls away into sexual fantasy land custom tailored to the girl and the situation. I don't think you can teach that, his brain is wired for improv.

Is right, Rah.

He's got a natural talent for wit. The best thing you can get from him is how to escalate sexually and confidently.

Take improv classes. Study comedians. Take acting classes. Join the drama club. Give speeches. Watch more comedy.

There are many things we can do to improve or sense of humor and wit.

True that, and I could definitely get into taking acting / improv classes (if for no other reason than the girls).

Russell Brand has no doubt had loads of practice as well, but I also think he has a gift on top of that. I mean the guy can walk into any room with nothing prepared and have everyone cracking up for 15 minutes straight:

I'm a big fan of Brand, but noticed his standup his just average UNLESS he's pinging off people. He's brilliant when he's interactive but just get him rambling and its avg or below avg for a comedian. But I've been spoiled by Bill Hicks [Image: wink.gif]

I've done the whole acting class thing. It's actually a profession I am going to attempt to enter in the next year. The whole hot girls thing is a myth in all the various classes I've been to.

There's the odd one, and they are the ones that do actually get hired.

Due to there being an unrealistic proportion of attractive actresses on screen, this propagates the myth that acting classes are full to the brim with hotties. The truth is the opposite, usually there is one 6 and the rest are below 5 (insecure, LSE girls).

It's probably different though, in major cities such as London, L.A or NYC, specifically at the elite drama schools.

Outstanding. That is a complete masterclass. A lot of what makes him so charismatic and seductive is actually very subtle and to people uninitiated in the finer details of pickup and game it wouldn't appear like he's doing very much.

But he is. The girl in blue is completely enamored with him and struggling to contain her inner giggling schoolgirl despite being a professional TV anchor.

Body language, vocal tonality, eye contact, AMOGing of the dude on several occasions, humour, DHVs, being challenging and calling out bad behaviour, beautifully delivered negs. The works.

Add that to good looks, fame and money and it's quite possible he may be the best female seducer on the planet. I don't see what else he could possibly add to his arsenal that would improve his effectiveness any more.

Great post Mirrorball, he pretty much summed it up, Brand is a pick up boss! I especially love his use of innuendos, he's able to slip innuendos in a flirtatious way, but it's so smooth, casual, and polished, that it may not even jump out and register immediately in the female brain as to what he just said. On top of that he's got so much else in his arsenal, he's got "cocky funny" down pat, teasing, subtle playful negging, his body language is crisp, his use of tonality, and punctuating certain remarks at certain times. I feel like he uses a lot of mystery method style game, but the embodiment of how mystery method is supposed to work, 10X better than mystery himself. Obviously Brand is rich and famous, but even if you took that away from him, I'd be willing to bet he'd still pull a ridiculous amount of ass.

I think this was brilliant performance. Epic ending [Image: amuse.gif]

Thing is that even though he's charming he's complimenting women and he's superior conversationalist he always respects his boundaries and calls people out on their shit. I really love how he teaches lessons over and over again yet in a funny way. This is why he's not a clown as it might seem on first glance. Positive and negative ALL THE TIME.

shows why pickup is such an artform.

you can't just mechanistically "do" russell brand game.

I was struck before he even started speaking, he affected a totally bored and condescending? air, looking around with disinterest-- and it looked real to me. He's detached past the point I think it can be an act, it seems like a sort of high-functioning Aspergers combined with controlled good manners and softened with positive statements and very high intelligence.

Also, it seems like he's definitely pretty intimidating because he's charming but at the same time you don't know when he's going to cut loose with something totally undermining.

"You do this for a LIVING?" was sort of painful, he made them look so dumb, but at the same time he was right they were really unprepared for who he was, they had no real relevant questions.

There's a saying "genius can be debated but not ignored."

Are you sure? Watch some Russell Brand videos before going out one night.

Whenever I've imitated his style of game I've seen instant results. Brand combines a razor sharp wit with a lack of a verbal filter. Not everything he says is overtly sexual, but he says it confidently and with a flirtatious tone of voice, so it works.

Too many guys are trying to be Daniel Craig, Brad Pitt, or Ryan Gosling. Your average Joe would pull more ass by being a third-rate Russell Brand.

Good point on not having to be the best.... if you make en effort, a lot of time you're the ONLY one hitting on her that afternoon or whatever.

Can you explain more how you imitate his game? Some common tactics or rules of thumb?

Yeah I just did it half-assedly tonight. I was down at a dive a stones throw from my apartment for about a half hour, with a ratio of men to women in the range of 8 to 1.

But this one 25-ish brunette girl came next to me to close her check and I just thought: what would Russell Brand say? She was using a funky pen for her check so I just made fun of the pen. It had a face on it, and I was like: excuse me, can I see your pen? It intrigues me, can you explain this smiley face? I went on: I can't decide whose face I like better, yours or your pen? - while grabbing her around the waist and on her thigh.

And she immediately comes in bumping her body against me, and I just played it from there. Nothing worth writing home about, she was only a 6 to me, so I wasn't going to pursue it, but this knockoff Brand game was enough she volunteered her number and her better looking blonde girlfriend came to introduce herself to me. Then they waited outside for me when I left.

Again, I used a Brand style of game when I saw them outside. Like:

What?! Are you still here? Do you need a ride? You're waiting for the drunk wagon, aren't you? You're waiting for a van to come with flashing lights to come pick you two drunk girls up? Etc. Whatever, they ate it up. I would've pushed it, but I had another girl who was coming to my place tonight for a booty call.

I hate this kind of loquacious game, but whenever I've tried it, it works better than super-aloof laconic pickup. I think for most guys who aren't natural players or inherently physically attractive, this kind of talkative, jokey/flirtatious game works.

Good story-- to try to find a pattern in the two scenarios you described, it sounds like you

1) Pick out some innocuous detail,
2) ramble about it sort of an absurd way
3) with some challenging content to her ( like her face vs the pen, You drunk and do you need a ride?)
4) and escalate at the same time.

Maybe they're so confused by the odd content and tone of what you're doing that it:

1) Makes it OK for them to act odd
2) Gets them too anxious/ excited to present usual "keep life boring" defenses to you.

I think there's some inherent value in causing confusion as long s it's not really threatening, one has to disrupt the usual dumb self-speak loop girls are running ("can't be a slut --he's cute-- can't be a slut--look at his shoes-- I need to check my Facebook-- why didn't Johnny call--my roommate's a slut and she's going to be noisy tonight")

It's like
"keep her mind confused while you feel her up, which will REALLY shut down her mind if you do it right..."

When you start running that Absurd But Superficially Connected to Current Reality stuff it disrupts their whole self-maintenance dialog-- which is really necessary for you to get through.

RAADE-- "Ramble About Absurd Detail and Escalate:
hahhahah
