Approaching girls on quiet nights

I'm currently in Brasov, Romania (full data sheet to follow soon) and in comparison to Bucharest it seems tiny. In Bucharest there are ample opportunities to approach every night in the old town and other places. Saturday was a good night for me here - I approached a lot, got a couple of numbers and made progress - but when I went out Sunday it was like a ghost town. This reflects what I've seen in a couple of other second-tier cities in Eastern Europe on non-weekend nights.

A handful of bars were moderately busy but it was a very sober atmosphere. In a few there were groups of girls seated together at tables (3 or 4 girls). I tried approaching a couple of groups but they fizzled out pretty fast and I soon lost motivation. On Saturday night I was able to pick a spot near the bar in a busy club and open girls as they went past, or else approach a girl standing with her friends and isolate her. If I come back here (which I probably will at some time) it will be on Thursday/Friday/Saturday night when the bars and clubs are full.

Should I just cut my losses and go home on quiet nights like this or is there a different approach to take?

A more indirect approach would probably work better.

Consider buying Day Bang and day gaming there if there isn't much of a night scene.

If it's so quiet in the bar that people are sitting down away from any action, preventing you from approaching, you might as well stick to day game, especially if your only "opportunities" are girls sitting down in tables. You can try approaches those but I wouldn't expect a warm response.

Alchemist, I've been in your situation a few times now. Sunday to Tuesday can be rough for 'action' in second tier cities. I agree with Roosh, use day game.

Get online as well...CS, Sentimente.ro (I think that's what its called), etc. Try to set up a meeting for coffee or a drink even though it may be short notice.

At night, you might want to be a bit bolder, introduce yourself, and offer to buy a round of drinks and see what kind of response you get.

I imagine none of the college towns in Romania will match Bucharest Sunday thru Wednesday. Lucky for you, Bucharest is now your home!

Good luck in Romania Alchemist. I just came back from Bucharest recently & will soon be posting up findings later on this week. Basically I'm glad to be back in Toronto. I did manage to hook up with an average chick I met on simpatie.ro that I had a hard time getting out of my rented apartment suite. Unfortunately the Dimepieces on that site were all about $$$ & did not hesitate to let me know that in our online convos. I don't blame them considering how the Romanian guys are spoiling any above average chick there.

I tried every almost every approach during the days and it was tough. The Romanian culture is not that open with direct social interaction with the opposite sex unless there is a mutual friend to introduce you. People out there will stare you down and even smile but that's about it unless they also spoke Spanish, or you Romanian. I gave up on the malls and did what worked for me at home - that is to take a few salsa group classes and meet both male and females who were open to hanging out after the classes. I couldn't believe how popular and well instructed the students were - both Cuban and LA style. I also had a better time at the massage parlors there than anywhere else. It was way cheaper than clubbing and you were guaranteed a "happy ending" ... lol

I agree with Luckystar and would try online gaming. Naughtynomad mentioned how Tagged worked for him - Facebook for me. Personally I wouldn't hit second tier cities other than on the weekends unless there was an event going on.

I'm thinking day game might be the way to go in these situations (it's generally weaker than my night game but I'm working on it). Having said that, I'm in Cluj just now which is a university town rather than a tourist town like Brasov, so weeknights should be busier here. Pipelining seems like a good idea for any future trips outside of the capital. Full reports on Brasov/Cluj/Sibiu when I get back home!!

Why don't you focus on collecting numbers on the busy nights (you said you got several on Saturday night) and then convert those numbers into dates on the less busy nights?
I realize to do this effectively you have to stay at least several weeks in a certain place - if you move around every week, you just have to deal with the limitations of that style.

This is actually a really good idea. I may try this approach when I get back to Bucharest. I plan to travel quite a bit when I'm in Romania and hope to be in cities close to Bucharest (Constanta, Sibiu, Brasov etc) on a semi-regular basis, so I could also utilise a variation of this idea there.
