A nepalese would be exotic where I am but he would be a wall flower even with a better build and a more local accent. Don't know why but I have found british girls to be the among the most open minded when it comes to inter racial dating. Hopefully your friends take this opportunity to better their game, they have a very good start.

So, is this city more like a uni town than one for the working professionals, as in the city gets empty and/or nightlife becomes rough once school is out? How are the locals especially those newly graduated and just started working folks?

Really? Aren't there still a decent of Pakistani and Indians all over Britain? Why is exotic factor high?

I've been to Leeds which is demographically similar and I can tell you that there were no girls circling me at all and I'm pretty f'ing tall.

I think students definitely make the city what it is but there are actually young professionals. I couldn't tell you too much because I am young but I know a few older people who work in Newcastle (mid 20's) and they all enjoy their lives here. Once school is out you are left with the locals - which can be a plus and a minus depending on how you look at it, I will explain more once I release a datasheet.

I have very rarely encountered Pakistani's and Indians (except from international students). Most ethnic minorities keep to themselves in communities outside of the city centre like in Fenham.

Alright let me give an example. The fact of the matter is if you are black/latino/Indian and go to the average club with good looks and game you will simply stand out - in a good way. That's what happened to my friend, he once got about five makeouts when we went clubbing and girls eyed him out all the time, my other mixed race friend who was under 18 also killed it and took 2 French girls to my home from gutter game - in London he thought this was unthinkable. Keep in mind this was also during off season where all students went home and the locals were left in the city (this make a difference I think), locals here just love people from exotic places/different accents.

These friends I was talking about are not average dudes in looks and game either, you can't just be a man with exotic looks and just show up, you need game here and a wise selection of venue for you and you can kill it. Whilst i've never been to Leeds and it seems similiar, I have also heard that the vibe is different so I can't say much about that.

As a Newcastle resident I can attest to the good write up here. Basically Newcastle has regressed to some social media/reality TV type sink hole, however. Tattooed and steroid guys are the norm. Heavy drinking and huge numbers of single mothers on welfare. The better quality women are foreign and the local 8s will barely give you a look as they are so entrenched in tinder and direct ig approach.

Update: been living here for over a year. I cannot wait to get out. I used to love it at first, but life here is so repetitive and monotonous.

You’re either a “lad” who wears skinny jeans, drinks uncontrollably with your group of mates and has a social circle to get girls or you’re pretty much an outsider. It’s gotten worse even in one year and whenever I go to London it feels like a blessing as the women are actually down to be approached in some form.

Maybe Newcastle is just not a place for me as there is not a high enough variety of women and in life generally. It’s not as cheap as made out to be either. The worst part is the darkness in winter which just ended about now, it really messes up your mood.

The only keeping me here is school and work, but after that I’m gone. If anyone is in Newcastle I’ll be willing to give gaming another shot, but right now I’m focused on making cash and hitting the gym. Personally, after living here I do not recommend it, game wise and for overall life, although maybe I’m being too pessimistic.

I’m around 20, I noticed you dislike London in your posts, I am from there but I really don’t think it’s a bad place for women compared to NCL. In NCL the women may have less of bitch shields and be more friendly but for me it doesn’t justify it. Newcastle is the type of place where if you go there for a maximum of 4 months you’ll probably really enjoy it but after that you see that everything is quite monotone and you can’t date different type of girls easily, they all seem the same, even the students. In addition, when international students such as latinas come here they get really diluted in the culture and turn really cold, which is a shame.

I think the key to having a good time in similar sized cities is to find a niche if you are not a local and find out where your interests lie and integrate it as a hobby into your work/study life. Mikestar, being in NCL, a uni town and being in uni yourself, I think you can still have a good time but its always good have a crew to roll with and do cool stuff together. It won't be like London where you can be anonymous and do your own thing and still meet different kinds of people, smaller cities will need some social proof. Also, for the latin population would be very minimal in NCL and those who are there, are more fascinated about the British/Anglo culture rather than their own culture, so if that is specifically what you are looking it, it may not be immediately visible/appealing to you. But you now know there are tons of italians and greeks in NCL.Have you been to Revolution de cuba, they have latin nights on the regular.

Also, have you tried looking at taking on a more active role at Uni clubs, for example, if you are into Latin culture, attend one of those events at Newcastle Uni and Northumbria Uni held by the respective clubs. Also, I am sure there are multiple Latin dance societies. And as you may know, they have dance sessions in a few pubs regularly for free to practice and also socialize. Try some of those taster sessions for sports clubs as well, I find that they are always looking for more ppl and hold social activities at times. Language classes held at uni are another avenue to know more people. Create different social circles and invite people with shared interests to your place for house parties. If your housemates are at uni and are cool, all the better.

Having been in NCL for a few months, I find the city kicking well beyond its league. A lot of working professionals actually end up living there long term. And I find the vibe there positive even compared to the other major Northern cities. Obviously London, would be a different animal. Cost of living seems marginally lower.

However, to fully experience the city, I agree that the nightlife tends to be very dominant and one must be able to enjoy doing that in Geordieland in general for living long term. But looking at it from a positive light, if you have friends with similar interests, I think NCL can be a good place to practice your nightgame without the brutal rejections you might encounter in other places with similar demographics, especially if you are a foreigner or out of town, the locals are incredibly welcoming and curious. And couple that with transient population from other cities in the UK or from europe and its almost like a resort town. Almost every one of my friends visiting NCL for the weekend had a blast and got laid haha. I also did not witness that many roided up guys spoiling the scene, sure there will always be some guys who think being topless in a club is going to attract attention but by and large they need not have an effect on your night and if anything, they are a turn off to girls outside their circles.

Hazaer, thank you for your motivation. I know that what you said is true, next year that's what I will aim to do - to expand my social circle and get a crew to roll around with, I think that's key here and I only have a few friends. Still, the weather still has not improved and is too depressing, if anyone is in Newcastle from now until July let me know.
