Brain drain devastating Ukraine

I read this article recently about the Ukraine.

Geopolitical tensions, violence, lack of jobs, and low salaries are driving Ukranians to move to countries like Germany and Poland.

Quote:Quote:

The people leaving are mostly working age, making the loss especially poignant," Libanova said. "It’s the age when people are at their professional peak, and also when they have children."

Hardy says it’s clear to her that the country is bleeding intellectuals — 80 percent of people in her mathematics course have already left the country.

"Those qualified, talented people who could have left by now, did," she said. "And that’s very sad.”

The article doesn't state percentage of gender moving but my guess is it's mostly single men and men with families.

Yeah, but if there wasn't economic depravity in the country then there wouldn't be as many women taking their clothes off for money. Are you willing to live in a world with less attractive women in internet porn?

It's not as easy as you make it out to be. Women are hard to break into there despite the poverty. The language barrier combined with Ukrainian women standards will shut you out if you aren't average-tall white guy. I wouldn't mind living there for retirement but it is a dreary depressing place.

Relatively common in the FSU and parts of the world. Even EU Bulgaria as an example, because they are rapidly depopulation and "multi-speed europe" has created a perverse incentive for skilled Bulgarians to leave to other EU countries because they can't afford living in Bulgaria.

In the case of a lot of ukraninians it is of course Poland and Russia. But there is a large ukrainian diaspora in other parts.

Most of eastern Europe has been brain drained but the powers that be play the long game.

These people will come back to retire paying the elites for overpriced real estate or build some business with their foreign earned money.

This happened in Poland and will happen elsewhere as well. Only a small percentage of people will be expat lifers.

In the meantime the remaining population is too stupid or lazy to work abroad which means easily controllable people.

That is a case in almost all of East Europe, for example in Croatia so many people fled there is now shortage of workers in some fields, for example there is shortage of drivers in public transport, shortage of medical stuff and so on.
With never ending corruption on all levels, criminal spending of public money, small salaries, cost of living almost as in West Europe and now with lowering services in public sector even people who were never thinking of leaving are starting to think about that.

NBC news, funny people they are.
This piece is brought to you by the same people who had Hilary at 95% chance of winning the presidency as well as the "Trump Impeachment Imminent" Russian collusion hoax.

Yea times are tough, who knows what Zelenskyi will do once he assumes office, probably whatever Kolomoiskyi wants. The fact of the matter is that the Ukrainian IT industry is the only legitimate way for young Ukrainians to make a decent living. And for that matter, it's the one industry bringing any sort of modernization to the country.

I love dreary and depressing. The bottom is already in.

You have all these young people marching off to the cities, often outside of their home country, living in basic accommodation, spending all their money on fap, in the career hamster wheel with no plans for the future until it's too late.

My mind works in the inverse of theirs. I see their movements and I want to go where they are leaving - the juicy low competition, ultra-cheap, low wages, discount luxury houses with pools and most importantly attractive, more feminine women who are good to go at 18-21.

In my country I see no opportunity. Only giant crushing barriers crashing down around me and women with very little value. In EE I see boundless opportunities.

The big problem, from talking to people in these countries, is that they are riddled from top to bottom with corruption. Those who have a bit of money pay for everything - a driving licence, uni entry, exam results, jobs. But it's not necessary to engage in it.

My experience of employing these people is they are like, "WTF? You're not trying to screw me over and hold off paying me for three months and then pay me half of what you said you would?" If you treat them well, they can be incredibly loyal and hard-working.

I'm looking to bed down permanently in Ukraine, Serbia or Russia within the next 12 months.

If you love dreary and depressing then Eastern Ukraine or Russia is the way forward. Eastern Ukraine has cities like Zaprozyhe, Krivoy Rog, or Mariupol. Industrial cities with soot filled skies and wild girls. These girls are from humble backgrounds, and you can wow them more than the girls from other major cities.

Not sure about mansions with pools, factories and pools of acid more likely.

Corruption works for them a lot of the time and can be usual for you if you need something doing.
