I'm kind of shocked nobody mentioned Hamburg. So I will: Hamburg.

Hamburg is a great city, awesome nightlife, even outside of teh Rapperbahn. Local chicks are pretty freindly and open.. Sternschanze neighborhood is full of students and fun bars. Hamburg does NOT get a lot of American tourists, you will be rather unique there. I didn't get much competition from guys either since the guys there are pretty standoff-ish even to women. During the day lots of cool museums and places to chill. Plenty of places stay open way way late, and even party into the next day.

Good luck and post an after-action description on which where you went and how it was.

Do you you remember any specific bars/clubs you visited when you were in Hamburg? It would be nice to know so I can check them out review-wise and see what people say about those

I spent 2 months there like 6 years ago. Back then Fishbowl in Sternshanze was good, but don't remember too much else specifically. I went for a quick weekend also a year ago, we quickly cruized down the Rapperbahn (I wasn't drinking at the time so I could only observe) and it was just as hopping as ever. Hamburgerberg is a fun area of town (not Rapperbahn but close to it) with more local bars that are still totally packed all the time. And if you party until 6 am, you can then go to the Fishmarket on Saturday and Sunday mornings, where there's a big hall with people still drinking and a band playing. Quite fun.

Honestly I would just do some research, both before and also during your time there. That's what I did. Great opportunity to talk to girls during the day, just to ask them questions like this.

If you go to "StadtPark" on a nice day, it's PACKED with people just chilling with their blankets out and you can ask people there. Also the Jungfernstieg area along the water has lots of people chilling there at all times. Honestly it's a really beautiful city with many fun parts to explore. I would just sign up for a pub crawl on one night to get a sense of the place. There's so many bars and clubs it's ridiculous, and not sure in 6 years what THE new place is.

Consider also Madrid, though is not as wild as it was 10-15 years ago when it was undisputedly the party capital of Europe.

Yes, I second Madrid. I liked it as a city in general. Two things though: 1) I would avoid it during the hot summer months and 2) Average quality is low and pulling locals is theoretically harder than North/Central/Eastern Europe.

Before you choose I'd advise you to have a look at what's going on on the exact dates you will be there!

If there's a public holiday near the weekend or similar, it's likely that locals leave to go to the countryside. I remember Vilnius being dead on a weekend I was there because of a national holiday.

Another thing to keep in mind is that many places in Eastern Europe attract hordes of sex tourists or stag party groups. Not necessarily going to affect you, but I have experienced girls being distant in Riga. Non-professional girls that is, the other ones might be too eager.

Budapest, Warsaw, Vilnius are all good places to go to. Berlin is the Mecca of techno clubbing. From what I've experienced it lacks variety i.e. you won't find mainstream, trendy, posh etc. Personally, I liked the day more than the night there. But that's personal preference plus I was there only for 2,5 days.

I'd throw in Tallinn as a suggestion, particularly if you go to Vilnius. Then Copenhagen and Amsterdam are pretty international and everybody speaks great English. I wouldn't choose them over Eastern Europe but it's an option, especially if you enjoyed Reykjavik.

You brought up a great point about checking out what's happening locally before I book a flight. Because I don't want to be there and the place is dead lol.

Also any recommended places in Budapest, Warsaw or Vilnius? Briefly if you could please tell me what was your experience like game-wise.

You mentioned Copenhagen, I was there in June 2017 for one night. I didn't really game because I was with a family friend, except that for every little non-serious approach I made in bars I was getting very positive feedback. I did see some scoring potentials there.

The best info on recommendations is to find the respective Data Sheet for each city here on the forum (in the travel section).

In short though, Budapest is known for its ruin bars. I don't remember the name of one the bigger ones unfortunately but it was pretty cool, it was at an old storage house and the whole decor was a bit industrial. Vilnius has Gediminos Street with all the pubs and bars and then a few other places near the Town Hall. There's also the hipster area around the Bus Station. Try Pianoman and Republic bars. There's a club called Salento where foreigners go to pick up supposedly "easy" local girls. The ratio is always pretty bad and the quality is average but I would drop in to check it out at least. Warsaw I am not an expert in, last time I was there it was with a local girl so she was taking me to places. But it's got a lot of stuff, even small vodka bars that are pretty awesome, clubs. Seriously just check the Data Sheets.

Copenhagen I think you have good chances in. There's the old Meat Market district with bars, mostly hipster crowds there. And it is a cool city to be in for a few days on top of that, especially around summer time.

If it won't matter in 30 years, it doesn't matter now.

The way to answer this question is to research STI rates in Europe, such as for chlamydia.

Based on that, the answer may be Reykjavik.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Can you mention what you meant by the night life being bearable? I was briefly in Italy and it was okay. Don’t want to elaborate given little experience. I got the impression being a tourist was a distinct disadvantage
Only stellar club experiences I’ve had were japan and Korea. Tons of thin friendly women with good manners. Sexy vibe

I dont think there is something like "wild" nightlife. I have never seen that in my hometown or anywhere where I traveled. How would you define that? I see that people get drunk and get a bit more loose than normal, but its far from really wild or crazy.

Wild and crazy would be defined by nudity, fucking, looseness yet still somewhat safe.

What's the wildest nightlife in Europe?

Well, giving a second thought about this thread, I would say that the wildest nightlife in Europe would be anywhere Brits go en masse in summertime, like Magaluf or Albufeira for example. In the latter can be so wild that last year had to be dettached 1000 mounted Portuguese Republican Guards to assure the safety of others.

I appreciate everyone for chiming in, from the analysis of this thread it looks like Budapest is the winner followed by Berlin and Barcelona (these 2 could be a tie). I will touch base close to the travel time and see any forum member could be traveling to any of the above cities around the same time

I actually had the same question whether he meant the tourists or locals? According to some other threads I read, I think people were saying Spanish chicks are tough
