On the one hand, it gives 'consent' a hard definition and doesn't give them the opportunity to accuse if they have buyer's remorse, which clearly is a positive thing. However, the precedent this could create of needing some retarded digital contract for each bang would be another cockblock and hurdle to clear (quickly whip out the contract post-LMR? lol) ...which would dehumanize the entire encounter. It's just not something I could see myself ever incorporating. Girls would be weirded out more than anything. I feel like you're much better off taking your chances using the existing methods to protect yourself from a false accusation.

The mere existence of this app also feels rather beta.

Doesnt work because consent can be retracted (so say the SJWs). The theory being that what happens if a girl changes her mind after she's signed the consent form? This now really does open her up to be raped by some a real scumbag.

So there I was, sitting in a courtroom awaiting my case to be called. Among the multitude of cases to be heard that day, mine would be last. While most others would distract themselves, I paid careful attention to each hearing--it was a unique and novel opportunity for me. That day, one in particular stood out even more than my own case, because of the lesson I would learn from it.

The case was for a renewal of a protective order against an estranged husband. I watched the waterworks of hysteria be evoked by the wayward woman. The fear described was empty of evidence. The estranged husband never took the stand that day... testimony was simply not needed. What proceeded was sext messages that started as PG-13, with invites from the woman to her place (thus violating her OWN order), with a promise the sexts would arrive at an R rating if the lawyer was to continue presenting. After much snickering and the woman cried out, order in court was taken and both councils approached the bench. The point had been made and the judge sent both on their way. Protective order denied.

In short... fuck agreements. You need to record hard evidence. That is indisputably concrete. If you can get a girl to send you nudes, she will be faced with that in court if she so decides to pursue.

It isnt. Thats the thing. Theres no "magic bullet" currently. You can never be foolproof

I am bumping this because I am doing a course on blockchain in my MBA. I had to come up with a Business Model that utilizes Blockchain. Though me and my team decided to do a ticket selling blockchain app, I flirted with other ideas. One was about consent and I remembered this thread.

I thought about a real time consent monitoring wearable device that is connected to a blockchain. There would be no swapping like the Legalfling app. One just has to wear the device as a wristband just like the fitbit. The device will keep recording your consent by monitoring your heart pressure, brain activity and alcohol levels.

Based on the data collected, it can in real time determine if the interaction taking place is consensual. Both the guy and girl would be wearing the device and would be connected to each other in the network. Each interaction would be a smart contract and all the data will then be encrypted and recorded to the blockchain as hashes.

Only the girl and boy, as participants, will have a key to unlock the blockchain. The data will be private. If there is an issue such as a sexual harrasment allegation then either participant can unlock and show what really transpired.

The result would be that any time a girl has a guilt trip about the enjoyable sex she had, she would not be able to blame shit on anybody. The blockchain data cannot be refuted.

Another aspect would be that the blockchain would give data on alcohol intake. Whenever a high limit of alcohol content would be reached, the device would alert the girl that she has reached a high alcohol level and is not fit for anymore interaction. It would also alert the guy and her nearby friends through an automated message. Now if the girl continues drinking and interacting with the guy despite numerous warnings from the app and both the guy and her friends tried to stop her, then the blockchain will prove that it was the girl who knowingly got drunk and still wanted the guy. It would show that the girl pushed through the alcohol to have sex with the guy. No more excuse of 'getting drunk and therefore the sex was non consensual'.

Even though there are few flaws to this model such as the current technology to determine consent, adoption, artifical interaction vs natural interaction and no sex because of alchol, this kind of blockchain device might help solve lot of the false sexual harrasment allegations which girls often say were non consensual.
