The life of the playboy ...

Sometimes it's nice to come home to an empty, quiet house and lay around in your bed, listen to your music real loud, read books, and play your Playstation (or watch movies or do whatever you do). Then maybe workout, drink a scotch, watch some football, and go smoke a few cigars.

But sometimes it's nice to have someone you know in your bed who is going to do the dishes, make you breakfast, and go on a hiking trip with the next day. Having someone to talk to about your day to day life is helpful.

Being single for too long can get very lonely.

I think lifestyle/vocation plays a factor aswell. A man who is nomadic, travels for work, or is location independent, he is probably less inclined to marriage. The 9-5 steady job life is most inclined to becoming married. I have known a lot of men who travel for work and they have a very high divorce rate, I suspect not being physically present makes it much more difficult to be married and keep frame.

Eh, kind of depends. I've owned my place since 2009.

I don't like coming home and having the place completely quiet.

It can get lonely.

Conversations with the cat tend to be one sided.

Aren't there articles that say that an age gap of around 5 years is the most optimal set up in a marriage?
