Showing too much interest vs. too little

This is the problem I've been having. I'll meet a girl, and I'll be trying not to show too much interest or act like I'm putting her on a pedestal. And it will work... too well. Then the girl, who was attracted to me, assumes I don't like her and moves on. This has happened on a few occasions now, so my question is where is the line? Will it just take practice and calibration before I figure out how much interest is too much? I'm learning to be more laid back in my approaches, but sometimes it comes across as total indifference. Any pointers?

YUP, That's the only way out! Not a single guy has ever turned into a player overnight. In your case, seems like you're doing a good job attracting them initially using the "aloof" approach but failing to strike the iron when it's hot, so you gotta work on that. Learn from your previous failures and try a few different approaches, and gradually you'll figure what's working and what's not. One thing I'd suggest - have multiple lines open so you can test things parallelly and are not wasting all your time on just one girl.

Agreed, have a back-up plan, but also show some interest. Let her know you're interested, but don't show you're too interested. If youre at a dance club grind with her then pull back for a while. Its the push/pull that's going to make her legs open up for you.

I've done this before and I"ll see a girl pulling away, touch her. Just a light touch on the arm or shoulder works for me.
