Ive really been taking in everything from bang and what ive read on this forum and the last 2 days in particular ive found myself in a couple of quite random one-off situations with 2 completely different results.
yesterday:
Went shopping for new sheets,underwear and some man stuff,while browsing in the department store i had noticed a cute blonde.
I didnt approach.
The girl at the counter tried to break the built in security tag in my carry bag but said it would beep anyway but i had a receipt so not to worry,happens all day.
Timed my exit to the escalator with the cute blonde right in front of me.
My bag beeps and she turns around and looks at me kinda weird.
(we are on the escalator heading down)
me: you stole something huh?
her: nooooo.....*embarrassed face
me: yeah you did,you have a 'i stole something look' about you.
her: did anyone see me?
me:ha ha,i dont know,lets go,quick...
we get on the next escalator heading to the next floor down.
i notice she has a brand new cellphone in the box in her hand so i figure there is a number angle to roll with.
Plus she is smiling at me the whole time.
me:did you steal the phone?
her:nope,i bought it,my old one died.
me:yeah it happens,is that new one a good one?
At this point she is about to step off the escalator and her long dress gets caught in between the steps and starts to drag her into the floor.
I hit the emergency stop button with my foot and we try to rip her dress free but it wont budge at all and i tell her we have to cut it or she takes her dress off....: )
her: i really dont wanna have to do that.
me: ok,ill ask in a store for some scissors.
A crowd begins to gather(busy department store)
her: fuck it,.....
she drops her dress and has another identical one underneath......
At this point i figure she bought the phone and stole the dress that got caught in the escalator and she starts walking away...
Ill admit i was stumped for what to do here.
I let her walk away and just left.
Today:
Went to see an all girl punk band play at a new skate/art/culture store in the city.
Drank a few beers with the homies and decided to head home at around 8pm knowing i have a big day at work tomorrow,plus a radio show tomorrow night and whatever a usual friday night would present.
Walking downtown to catch the train home i stopped a cute asian girl from walking in front of a car that she didnt see pulling out of a side street.
Start chatting and tells me she just finished work and she's heading downtown to catch the ferry home.
Perfect.we have to walk to the exact same place for 15 minutes.
She asks what i do and i tell her i work in the construction industry and im a dj/music producer.
She thinks thats cool and smiles bigtime.
We compare music taste's,which are almost similar.
She asks for all my info regarding radio show times,frequency,website,live stream etc.....
I invite her to the studio sometime to hang out and listen to some tunes and ask for her number.
She gives it up in a heartbeat and seemed very genuinely interested.
I send her a quick text with just my name and her phone beeped and she locked it in.
We arrive at the train station and we hug and agree to meet up soon.she gives me a huge smile and says "thanks for saving my life"
There have been about 5 or 6 other approaches in the last week but they are not worth mentioning.....
But basically thanks everybody,feels great to just spark it up and start working it,and i honestly dont think i would have been as confident as i have been lately without reading everything here.bigups.
