I've lost an aunt this same way as my Uncle died unexpectedly through an accident and my aunt couldn't handle it. She literally... Literally... My other aunt said to my mother that for my aunt her love for him was everything and without him her will to live just faded away. We have some hardcore Christians in my family so she further said that she asked God to take her to be with her husband as she did not want to be here without him.

Having said all that, I'll try to formulate my thoughts a little extra harder for tomorrow, as to why this is such a sad event, why we will be seeing more of it, and how it can be prevented in the future.

We are now in to the realm of (male) game saving (female) lives. They need our help now more than ever. They will need it more in the future again.

Let the incels and faggots rejoice the loss of a truly loyal woman.

Like Roosh mentioned in the OP, a normal woman would've grieved for a while and then moved on. The suicide's age and the length of her relationship with the departed are irrelevant, inflicting self-harm isn't a normal response to a stressor.
