What?

Edit: Wow, it is true. I didn't believe it.

Quote:Quote:

Steven P. Jobs, the Apple Inc. chairman and co-founder who pioneered the personal computer industry and changed the way people think about technology, died Wednesday.

"Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives," Apple said in a statement. "The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."
His family, in a separate statement, said Mr. Jobs "died peacefully today surrounded by his family...We know many of you will mourn with us, and we ask that you respect our privacy during our time of grief."

RIP

So this is when all iPhones engage the kill command and transform into killer robots right?

This may be the most inspiring commencement address of our generation:

This man was the Thomas Edison of our time. And wise beyond this world. I think in coming times we'll feel his absence even more. RIP, Jobs.

I've been keeping an eye on iJustine for a while... not surprised she'd blow up like that.

As for the man himself... well... we all have our time.

Cancer kills a quarter of people in his age range. Heart disease is another quarter, and smoking related copd is another significant chunk. Cancer is hard to prevent, other than obvious things to avoid going above the average, but there are obvious ways to avoid the last two. The aging process has been called a way that our body defends against cancer.

I could listen to that man talk all day. I could play with his products for about as long.

I hope businessmen around our country take a long look at the admiration that Steve Jobs has been given and begin to emulate him. He was a man with exceptional standards, good sense, and an inspiring philosophy. He set the bar.

Thanks, Steve, for everything.

Personally I wasn't impressed with Jobs nor Apple. But, as usual, it is shitty to badmouth the dead. RIP.

Did Steve Jobs cause his own death by using "alternative medicine" instead of traditional treatments?

This article says so. If this is true, its just goes to show the irony of life. One of the smartest men on the planet acted very stupid and it cost him his life. Thats life!

Did Steve Jobs doom himself with alternative medicine?

That article is complete shit - and the Harvard medical doctor a fucking fool. If they are going to say he killed himself by choosing alternative treatments, then they should at least cite the contents/methods of the treatment. This guy posted no information on the alternative treatments used and does not have access to Jobs's medical file. It's not enough to simply say 1) this cancer is highly treatable, 2) Jobs chose alternative treatments early on, 3) Jobs died, 4) therefore, Jobs must have died from using alternative treatments early on (even though we have no idea what those treatments were).
I hope he enjoyed his two seconds of fame.
