If you watch "hot girls wanted" on netflix, you will never want to watch porn again. You see how broken and damaged some of these women are (there are definitely ones that love what they do) and you realize that by watching the videos you are watching the downfall of a human being.
It's not uncommon for them to commit suicide at an early age, due to constant beratement and instability. I don't really want to be a part of it, it makes me depressed.
I would estimate the ratio of girls who like doing porn to girls who are selling their souls for a paycheck to be about 1:10,000.
The suicide and overdose rate in porn actresses appears to be way higher than the female average. I would say the same about the male pornstars, but there simply aren't enough to get an idea.

I don't generally do "Alex Jones" conspiracy theories. But, I will drop two pieces of information that don't sit well with me.
1. As to Simeon's point on money laundering and the funding of porn production. I spent some time in the San Fernando Valley researching (primarily porn performers). My research partner and I had a lot of time to speak to crew and production people. We had a lot of time to see "how the sausage was made". We both come from mathematical backgrounds, and we could not figure out how the productions we were observing were profitable. I'm talking about a shoot that the producer tells us will net $ 13,000 in the first year, and then drop off after that. Then, we crunch the numbers on production and it's $ 20,000+. We joked about it for years afterwards. It was the sketchiest arrangement ever.
I've been wondering this for a minute, it just doesn't make sense to me how the industry itself can be profitable. Reminds me of the story of how Myrtle Beach has tons of these giant well beach stores stocked with tourist merch but they never seem to do a ton of business; they're speculated to be a giant money laundering scheme.Anyway, PornHub is pretty much a meme at this point, and paying for porn just doesn't make sense unless you're really into it and want the highest quality.
As far as people being interested in the ramblings of porn sluts, as men are evolved to be ruthless pursuers of sex and women to be the submissive gatekeepers, I think there is always a little bit of curious fascination with any (real or fake) sexually voracious thot.
Back in the 80s and 90s, my uncle rented out commercial space to a number of porn shops. They would carry next to no stock and still manage to turn over huge monthly revenues. The rent was always paid on time, in cash. Back then, I think it actually was organized crime laundering money.
Now, I think there are a number of studies that are funded by "wealthy investors" who order the managers to produce porn that aids in whatever schemes they have cooked up.
And, I'm interested in pornstars because I studied this stuff for over half of my life. It's academic to me.

I don't think an age limit is the answer to all this. That's just older porn actresses trying to get rid of young competition. I think an IQ test should be a requirement. And, unlike in the school system, the test shouldn't be a take home quiz where you can take as long as you want and ask for as much help as you want.
I asked a lawyer in porn valley about this (he's not a porn lawyer). He said that in the US and in California it is actually illegal to do this. That seems like bullshit to me, as I know the government uses acuity testing for job placement. But, that's what he told me. Also, I have to imagine that if this was put in to place, many, many of the girls currently shooting would be out of a job.

She has the world at her feet and doesn't realize that all of her life momentum is thanks to her attractiveness/sexuality. And of course she will never learn this.
Just sort her youtube videos by "most viewed" and all of the top 20 vids except for one are connected with porn/sex talk.
Practically nobody wants to hear her talk about anything not connected with sex and she's fully aware of this whether she likes it or not.
However, a perfect example of a delusional pornwhore who learned that her entertainment/educational value outside of porn is ZERO is Ashlynn Brooke, one of the best selling pornwhores of the 2000s.
Well, after taking thousands of cocks on and off screen she finally settled down with some hometown cuck and quit porn. Her ego was so ridiculously inflated at that point by her pornwhore fame that she genuinely believed she had significant value outside of a sexual context.
So she started a Youtube channel called "TheJollyRogers". 7 years and hundreds of videos later and she's got 10k subs. Nobody gives a fuck about her boring life with her midwest cuck or what she has to say. That red pill must have been the most disgusting thing she swallowed her entire life.

It gets way darker than that. Look at the user demographics for a channel like Channon Rose and her ilk. There is an entire group of current and former pornstars on YT preaching about how cool/weird/random it is to do porn, oh, and by the way, this is how you get in to porn, too... And, the largest viewing demographic - 13-16-year-old girls. Also, I'm noticing not a lot of age restriction on those videos. Plenty of videos on YT are "too political" for the kids. But a pornstar telling a tween in Des Moines how to hop on a plane to Miami and catch the Bang Bus the minute she turns 18... that's fine. No need to police that. Makes you wonder about things.
