North America’s first sex-doll brothel opening in Toronto

The MGTOW thing isn't realistic unless you have a hormonal problem or something.

I'm a guy who had regular girlfriends / FWBs back in my homeland and Korea. Then when I moved to Georgia (the former Soviet Union country) I became an incel / monk because of the xenophobia + language barrier + social conservative women. Pretty sick and tired of living in Georgia.

It's way better to have women in your life and I don't think dolls can substitute them.

I've been out of the game for a while but dusting off the laywer's cap this could run afoul of two laws. One is keeping a common bawdy house, defined in the Criminal Code as "... a place that is kept or occupied, or resorted to by one or more persons, for the purpose of prostitution or the practice of acts of indecency.” I am thinking not as a few years back a swingers' club in Montreal got a pass as the court found that fucking in various rooms of the club was not "indecent". The second thing is any laws related to showing porn. In BC, the shops that have the video booths in the back are licensed as multiple movie theatres with a max occupancy of one. I think there are various regulations that ban jerking off (which are usually ignored). I suppose they could get themselves licensed as a hotel and have in-room videos.

Overall, it still strikes me that there will be a lot of red tape to comply with, unless the authorities are choosing to ignore it due to the hot button nature. (Under public pressure, the cops dropped their investigations into the NOW Magazine ads despite everyone knowing that 90% of those girls are hookers.)

I work in the computer industry and let me tell you that the demand for these things is going to be huge. They will be flying off the shelves and your average ICT nerd/incel will be buying them for themselves every couple of years with all the money they save still living at home and not having girlfriends.

People I work with (I really need a new job) have been talking about these things half-jokingly (i.e. 'half-seriously) for years now and the consensus has always been that they were just waiting for the tech, realism and price to all converge to acceptable levels and that looks like it's around the corner, if not here already.

I predict these silicon prostitution businesses will act more as try-before-you-buy facilities for guys that want to know what they're getting for their money and how they can arrange for discreet delivery and payment.

None of the people that will buy them were ever going to be socially or politically relevant, pre-doll or post-doll.

This will not even stop e-thirst since guys with the base level of guts to pedestal a bitch will call doll-fuckers losers, even if they're not getting laid themselves.

It will just become another rotten thread in the increasingly unsalvagable tapestry of Western Civilisation, albeit a relatively new and novel thread at that.

Good points, but what about guys who can't have a doll at home, because they can't afford the 5-10K investment or because they live with their parents/roommates/wife? I think there will be a solid base of long term users from these demographics.

And as far as those guys not being relevant either way, I think this is true at the individual level, but when you subtract their aggregate thirst from the dating and marriage markets, the shift will be palpable, at least for the average, 4-6/10, woman who won't have nearly as much beta thirst to cash in on. The remaining white knights can only offer so much. But these changes may take decades.

Every time I was in a roommate situation I had a lockable door and I don't think any saw what I had in my bedroom.

Could easily put a doll in shared housing. The problem is more how do you transport a doll that weighs 50 kilograms (these dolls are not light). So one definitely needs a car to haul them around from house to house. If you're an international nomad then you may as well forget about the idea of owning a doll.

Agreed mostly, but base models aren't going to cost much more than a 4k console at release and these guys will eat ramen for as long as it takes. These dolls are apparently made up of parts due to sheer weight in some instances so you could literally buy them on a sort of installment plan.

Blowup dolls used to be a comic gag mainstay and I suspect much of how this development is received will depend on to what extent these products are demonised or alternately normalised by the cultural gatekeepers.

How they're framed in comedy shows like The Big Bang Theory will give everyone a heads up on what direction the elites want this trend to move in.

As for cultural effects I think it will simply widen the gaping chasm between salvageable Red America and the Blue American Sodom's and Gomorrahs, with similar outcomes all over the West.

It may be misplaced optimism but my sense is that a schism is growing between the moral relativists and those seeking a return to traditionalism.

The nuance of how this effects modern Babylonia is hard for me to care about. If you're not building an Ark then in the long run it doesn't really matter if you're an autist fucking a doll or a male model fucking 9's. You're still for the water.

Who with any kind of normal (with a broad definition) sexual taste would go to a doll brothel over a normal brothel?

I would not be the least bit surprised if in a few years, we find out these places filmed and extorted clients.

I imagine the main benefits are that it's around 1/3 the price of a decent human hooker with near zero chance of contracting an STD (assuming the doll is cleaned properly). Then you have the sperg factor: dudes who just don't want to deal with women, look them in the eyes, etc. There are guys who will prefer the emotional sterility of a robot, and they are growing in number.

Filming/extorting clients is a possibility, but isn't that a risk at a regular brothel? I think that's been the plot of a movie or show or game or something.

If you look on the bright side: where can I invest/buy stock in the sex bot industry?

I personally know 2 guys off the top of my head who will gladly buy these sex dolls without a second thought. It's the same kind of guy who paid for Tinder Gold but never dare message a girl who swiped right on him.

Making bucks off thirsty, disposable dudes is profitable, at the end of the day. Not like it's anything new. In the past these guys would either die early or become outcasts, now they live long enough and hold jobs that allow the business-savvy to make bucks off them.

I don't buy the whole "sex bots will compete with women" thing because there's just no competition between a robot and a fuckable 6+ girl. The kind of guys who would get these bots are the same who would get reported for saying "hi" to a girl anyway. Shit, even if 25% of guys have sex bots the modern girls will hardly notice because they only care about the Chad and at most the top 50% males.

And nothing prevent you from having a sexbot and still out hunting (un)successfully for pussy. People worried the same thing before porn became mainstream. Guess what porn is now one of the reasons dudes are so thirsty and girls have such cunty attitude.

@Kai: on an unrelated note I don't know how long the passport can be a solution to all girls-related problem. Asia is going down the decline road fast and going abroad doesn't solve your autism.

What a damn great idea.

I want to start one in the states. WAY less work than running a brothel with real women, way less overhead, but still all the great profit. A quick search shows those Real Dolls go for around ~$7000 a pop. Think of it like running an ATV rental company or something like that - similar startup costs but likely less upkeep and cheaper insurance. I think this could be the way to go! Just really need to emphasize cleanliness and make sure the dolls are kept in top condition.

I say hats off to these pioneers of sex-entrepreneurship. Got my gears turning...

How is this going to reduce thirst or female entitlement at all?

Now: woman rejects 99/100 men who spit bad game on tinder. 1 man gets laid, 99 jerk off.

Then: woman rejects 89/90 men who spit bad game on tinder. 1 gets laid, 20 jerk off, 79 bang the doll, 10 of which are men who no longer game on tinder, but they were the worst there was anyways and she still has 90 dorks hitting her up.

^And - The really fucked up 10 dudes who drop out of society and go for dolls exclusively? Well now they're invisible to women completely. She doesn't even have to be bothered by the terrifying omeganess that shows up in her inbox sometimes, potentially making her think "gee I'm attracting some really shit dudes, I better pick a decent man or I'll end up with one of these..". Now she still gets 90% of the attention as before but the quality she sees is significantly improved.

Ah, but you're thinking like a guy. Women think differently. They absolutely cannot handle competition -- even perceived competition.

It doesn't matter how much game is being spit at them. If they perceive that men have a permanent option, they go insane. They need the perception of controlling the sexual market, more than anything.

This is why women cannot handle the prostitution industry and they try to get porn banned. This is also why women invented and keep pushing myths like "the human trafficking crisis."

I once worked in an office that was primarily women and it gave me insight into how they think. Strange stuff.

Don't forget the other market potential from this business.

Offer a discount to the guy if he signs a sperm donation form. The other side of the business sells the cum to the strong independent 35yo women desperate for a kid but too perfect to fuck anyone other than Brad Pitt.

Plus there's always the fear the normal brothel will be subject to surprise raids which occasionally happen from time to time. A regular joe at a rub-and-tug doesn't want to get caught in a "to catch a predator"-type sting operation and slapped with a solicitation charge. Also the media sometimes can't help but join in and run the names and reputations of the people caught through the mud, which can be devastating to these guys. Visiting a doll brothel would be a non-human interaction and not subject to these types of shakedowns (assuming that what the owners have said regarding the legal compliance of the business is true).

I know a ton of people in the tech industry in the USA that are really digging the entire sex-robot/sex-doll thing. The majority of them are ugly, nerdy dudes that view everything on a "logical" scale - i.e. "sex is sex" so they might as well just fuck a robot/doll instead of having to game an actual woman.

Personally, I wouldn't fuck a sex-robot or sex-doll because I enjoy the entire process of game and achieving a real woman, despite the "sex is sex" argument.

However, I have absolutely no problem with sex-dolls at all. The dating market in the US is incredibly skewed towards the woman and I can totally understand that many dudes just don't want to deal with the amount of bullshit they have to with American woman. It's awful.

The genes women desire. What a concept. We could have a whole forum on that alone.

Ask any woman about this and she'll tell you nurture wins out over nature, the culture influences who we are, all cultures (and people) are equal and of equal value, and we're all capable of change.

But what does a single woman do when she wants a baby? Does she just fuck some local loser or day laborer and then work it out so nurture trumps nature?

Nope.

She'll choose the 6'2" Nordic Yale graduate's seed at the sperm bank because genetics. But ask her about this and she'll tell you nurture wins out over nature, the culture influences who we are....etc.

A digression, but it's always a worthwhile one.

Sex doll brothel lease cancelled, will not open in North York

https://toronto.citynews.ca/2018/08/29/s...ening-day/

The sex doll brothel that planned to set up shop in a North York plaza has been shut down just over a week before its proposed opening day on Sept. 8.

Aura Dolls brothel will no longer operate out of 4632 Yonge Street thanks, in part, to a decades-old bylaw. The address has been removed from the company’s website.

In a letter sent to residents obtained by CityNews on Wednesday, Coun. John Filion said he met with city staff to determine if the business was legal in the chosen location in his ward following a large number of complaints about the brothel.

City staff ruled that the business falls under the “adult entertainment parlour” category and as such, is not allowed anywhere in Willowdale. Filion said the ruling is based on a motion he introduced about 20 years ago that restricts sex retail shops in North York to industrial areas.

“Both the business owner and property owner were advised by city staff that the proposed use is illegal and that, if the business opened, they would be charged,” said Filion. “As a result, I am pleased to advise you that city staff were told that the lease has been cancelled.”

In addition, Filion said the same plaza currently hosts two other illegal businesses — a pot dispensary and an illegal massage parlour — which he hopes the building owner will get rid of.

Earlier this week Aura Dolls told CityNews it doesn’t believe the company is breaking any laws and has a licence from the city. City officials said the company does not have any sort of licence with the city.

The City of Toronto issues licences to businesses like adult entertainment clubs and body rub parlours which could be subject to zoning bylaws. It does not license sex workers or brothels.

However women in countries with legalized and easily accessible and low cost prostitution with often attractive girls (eg. Germany, Austria, Greece - to go with Western countries for the best comparison, and the various other European countries where it's sort of a grey zone and less visible), don't really seem to be in any way affected in their behaviours and dating attitudes and expectations just because a guy can go and fuck a Romanian or Russian 7 or 8 for €50 or less in a neatly signposted and potentially fairly upscale brothel in a red light district.

I'm sure the femunists (not a typo) put pressure on the City, but I imagine several other factions did as well. No one wants this place, other than the dollhouse's owners and potential clientele. Pushback from a lot of directions here.

The owners kind of shot themselves in the foot by getting too much publicity. It's not really "sex retail" as they don't sell the dolls. It isn't "adult entertainment" in the usual sense because there are no live strippers or masseuses. It's more like a short term hotel. . .with sex dolls.
