I'm listening to Donovan Sharpe's show. A listener just asked him what game book he thinks is the best. Donovan just said 'Game by Roosh is as good as it gets'. Said it trumps everything he's read.

This is the third of Roosh's books that I've read, after Bang Ukraine and one of his memoirs, 30 Bangs I think it was.

While I recommend Roosh's Game book to all guys having problems getting laid, I'm not sure how much this or any other game/dating book can help. There is simply a limit to how much most men can change their personality, which is what is implied by learning game.

There is also the issue that Roosh has the genetics (face, height, overall health, natural voice, natural intelligence) to be in at least the top 20% of men in attractiveness, assuming he puts some effort into developing his genetic base (grooming, diet, physical exercise, clothing, consciousness of posture and voice, education). Top 20% or higher attractiveness implies a constant stream of IOI's that he can act upon. Many men are starting from such genetic weakness that they will never be able to emulate Roosh. Regardless of efforts to develop themselves, they will still get almost no IOI's and then converting what IOI's they do get to satisfying sex will be very difficult. In particular, the minute such men attempt to check disrespect in the woman during the dating phase, she will walk, because her attraction was so low to begin with.

I still highly recommend that such hopeless men read Game, even if they have given up on dating, so that they can see that the situation isn't all that much better on the "winner's" side of the fence. The tale Roosh tells, using a mix of statistics and anecdotes, regarding amount of work required for typical modern winner man to get sex, should be something of a consolation to born losers. Yes, losers miss the sex reward but they also miss an awful lot of unpleasantness preceding that reward. That is, Roosh tells the true story of what a top 20% man, who isn't also a top 1% "Chad" who has women throwing themselves at him, has to do to get sex nowadays, not the fairy tales told by too many game/dating gurus. [At this point, Roosh may actually be a top 1% Chad, because accusations by certain feminists that he is a "pro-rape advocate" give him bad boy notoriety, and mentally unstable women may indeed be throwing themselves at him nowadays.]

For those men who do have the ability to get themselves into the top 20% of attractiveness, Roosh provides a wealth of valuable tips about what to do and, even more important, what not to do, when trying to get sex from modern women. Some tips are specific to Roosh's seduction style, others are generally applicable. In many cases, behavior is required that is the opposite of what gets positive results when interacting with other men or with women in non-dating contexts, and so these tips are not at all obvious.

(I bought the Epub version, which is well formatted for smartphone ereaders, such as Moon+ on Android.)

Anyone here done Starting Strength. Been out of training for a year and I’m wondering if it’s a good way to restart training.

If you saw me when I was 20 years old, there is no way you'd say I was in the top 20%. I unlocked my potential over many years, but if I never started that process, you would not write the same. Many men who feel they are on the "bottom" can still increase their value substantially with effort.

Read carefully. Not much disagreement between us. I didn't say you were (or are or will be) in the top 20%. I said the genetic potential was there, and with some men it isn't. People throw around the 80/20 rule, but what they neglect is that top 20% is based on the overall developed man, not the underlying potential, AND many competitors are neglecting their potential. Maybe a corollary to the 80/20 rule should be that 80% of men have the potential to be top 20%.

I'm about 25% into the audiobook now. Surprisingly, it was still available on the UK Audible store, along with a few other of Roosh's audiobooks. The fact that they pulled the paperback from Amazon but didn't pull the audiobook from Audible (also owned by Amazon) suggests even more to me that the removal of the paperback was just an empty gesture.

Thus far, I'm liking how it's fairly straightforward advice. No mess, no five-hour diatribe on everything you have to do to build up Inner Game first - just keeping it simple so the reader (or listener, heh) doesn't over-intellectualise.

I must say my favourite part is, as always, Roosh's slightly dry tone and particularly the Girl Voice for when it goes through roleplays.

Can anyone of my fellow RVF brothers help me out? I want the Game eBook and the Game Audiobook for $21 if the offer is still on?

I have purchased all of Roosh's books in the past using PayPal but that's no longer an option. I'm currently in the UK and don't have the option of using a debit card at the moment, I'm willing to send the money to trusted member via Paypal.

So if anyone can help me out PM me or if Roosh himself has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
