Sometimes, when you're feeling fucking good, you have to go out there and take advantage of this "flow" state. Things come damn easily when you're in this mindset.

Last night I felt flow and something happened that I have dreamt about before, and it was damn awesome to experience it IRL. I saw this hot girl just dancing very sensual-like as I was heading out of a bar with my friend and I just looked at her straight in her eyes and I pointed her to come towards me. Before I knew It we were making out, and damn what a good kiss too. And just 30 seconds later me and my friend head out of that bar to the rest of the night.

Flow state, baby.

Yeah, I'm the same way. Some days I have it and I have an awesome day.. Some days I have no flow, and I'm a total dick. Good job. It is not wise to waste it when you are in a good game state of mind.

Yeah, Flow State is the psychological term for being in the zone, so you're correct.

One thing I wonder is how one can maintain this state. For me, I can always get in "the zone" when I'm with a good group of people and I have a positive outlook for the evening. Also a touch of alcohol helps. Yet, I want to figure out how to achieve this state when I am out and flying solo (and can't drink much because I have to drive).

I wonder if any of you have any experience with NLP, or anchoring, where you can basically program yourself to feel a certain way, and in this case, feeling like you're in the zone?

I know a lot of competitive athletes have their anchor, so I was wondering if any of you have a pre-game warmup you'd like to share?

I once read to think of an experience where you were at the top of your zone, the peak of your happiness/confidence, and do some kind of unnatural action to put yourself there. Like exhaling all of your air quickly while focusing on this picture. In my personal experience, it does nothing but put you closer to that zone you need to be in.

I know how you feel. I recently broke up with my girlfriend of four years and have been banging girls left right and centre. This has been the most productive two weeks of my life. I am in that state of mind right now that I can get any girl that I want. My mates say that I am on a "splatter spree" like its some sort of Halo reference. What I dont like about this term is that it implies that it will somehow come to an end, either I lose my groove, the vagina pool dries up like an overexploited gold mine, or I get another girlfriend. So, to keep this going I am continuing to expand my options with continually getting new numbers, contacts, coffees, etc. Also, as for going out I have replaced my usual Jameson or Bushmills whiskey with Red Bull or Rockstar. It keeps you going and gives you something to put in a glass or in your hand. Problem here is when I have like three Red Bulls and then go home with a girl and bang her I feel like my chest is going to explode via heart attack. Also, it is good to be with your regular crew ie. your best friends, they will give you a hand, put you in a good mood, back you up, etc. This works of course if you have good friends who are not douche bags. If you dont, another thing I do is work out after work or in the afternoon before going out. Nothing too heavy, but just enough to get your body and ego going. Finally, if none of this works for you watch something funny before you go out. My pre-game show sometimes is Kenny vs. Spenny, but hockey playoffs are on right now which is fu*king awesome.

I havent done any of this tonight because I have two booty calls lined up, but I guess I will as I said expand my contacts in the meantime.
