Fort Worth Data Sheet

Just got back from Dallas and Fort Worth Ill get the sheet up for Dallas soon but heres the one for Fort Worth: (Thanks to Skywalker for the template)

Data Sheet Fort Worth Texas

City Overview :

-Fort Worth is about 30 minutes outside of Dallas lot of old texas money infused with the obvious mexican influence found just about anywhere else in texas.

Girls :
If youre into preppy rich white chicks this might be your utopian paradise as theyre EVERYWHERE here since TCU which is a crazy expensive private school is located here, also a ton of hot latina women here as well. Youve got to pick your spots as segregation is alive and well in fort worth so youre not going to find the crowds mixing a whole hell of a lot here.

Sight seeing :

-Modern Art Museum
-Trinity River
-Bass Performance Hall
-Downtown Forth Worth

Lodging :

-I stayed at the Omni which is right downtown. Kind of pricey at around 200 a night so I know alot of guys here dont want to spend that kind of scratch, I was on works dime though. Super nice though if you can afford it and within walking distance of all the downtown hot spots but not of the cultural district.

Day game spots :

-Walking around downtown (patio culture is huge in texas so it seems like every place to eat or coffee shop is littered with people outside even when its hot as balls so it makes striking a conversation easy. In the south everyones extremely friendly as well so that makes things easier as well.
-Hulen Mall

Nightlife spots : (I was there thurs and fri)

-Started off at this mexican restaraunt called Joe T Garcias, the place is a fort worth institution. Make sure you sit on the patio, the place is fucking HUGE and the scenery is awesome. The food is average as fuck but the margaritas are strong and their were hot women everywhere in the place and its right down the street from the cultural district where a lot of the new night life is.
-Capital Bar-filled with the TCU college crowd but a really cool place. Upscale type bar but filled with typical southern frat boys,
-Shamrock-bit of a dive bar across the street from Capital. Cheap booze and for as much of a dive bar as it was there were a surprising amount of girls that happened to come in. I think they were either pre gaming there or ending the night there but they seemed to come in for around 30 mins or so at a time.
-Embargo-this place is downtown and for the guys who are into the latina chicks this is the place to go. Cuban themed bar with a full assortment of cigars and also a huge list of mojitos that were amazing. I always feel like an asshole ordering a mojito but this bar specializes in them so I felt compelled. Live music and party atmosphere with a ton of friendly people.
-Pour House- similar crowd as Capital but with a more laid back vibe to it, not quite as pretentious.

Ease of approaching :

-Very easy to approach but a bit of a stone wall at times after that. The girls seem to be into a very specific type of guy in alot of the places (southern frat douche) so you need to make a high # of approaches to find the girls that are into breaking away from their TCU bubble. Definitely doable but you cant have approach anxiety here or youre D.O.A. Seems like alot of the people are out in big groups so its sometimes tough to really talk to a girl for a long period of time even if she wants to lest she should be judged by her friends for breaking away. Lot of cockblocking pull aways were witnessed. Different scene at the embargo place I mentioned much easier to hold a conversation and have a good time without being cockblocked Im not into latina chicks that much so it was "meh" to me but my buddy who is was in heaven.

Prices and other stuff :

-Typical American city prices. It all seemed cheap to me since the cities Ive lived in the majority of my life are the price gouging ones i.e. san diego, san francisco, vegas so it was cheaper everywhere we went. Capital was the only place that was a bit pricey as far as drinks went. Might be why people were pre gaming at Shamrock so hard.

Logistics :

-If you stay down places are walkable or a short cab ride away. Alot of the places I went were in the new cultural center I think its called which is off 7th street. Not too bad of a cab ride from downtown.

Safety : Not a concern anywhere

Overall pros and cons :

Pros : An abundance of hot blondes, latinas, reasonably priced booze, and good mexican food
Cons : If youre into white american chicks (which I know a lot of you here are not) its a pain in the ass dealing with some of these spoiled daddys little princesses to find the cool ones (there actually are some of them just got to cut through the weeds)

Personal experience :
-I liked the city but I wouldnt make it a specific travel stop (I was there for work) although if you do end up there you can find some girls and some good times. Its no Dallas but you can have a good time without a doubt. I hooked up with a girl on the friday night but it was leveraged from a mutual friend so it was by no means a cold hook up.

Fort Worth Data Sheet

I moved from Phoenix to Fort Worth about two months ago and thought I would add my observations on the city. Jack Frost gives good information which agrees with my impressions, and I'll add a bit more. There are two main places for nightlife in Fort Worth- the area around Sundance Square in downtown and the West 7th Street area about two miles west of downtown. I live in the West 7th Street area and logistics simply don't get any better- I live above some popular bars and restaurants and it's the easiest thing in the world to have a girl meet me at one of them and then bounce upstairs to my place.

There aren't a lot of places here that are suitable for the solo player, but a couple worth trying are the Library and Embargo downtown and Bar Louie in the West 7th area. The Library is a large chain meat market kind of place where everyone gets really drunk. I don’t go here much as I prefer clubs, but I can see that it would be worth my while to spend more time here. I spend most of my time at Embargo. There are a lot of couples that come here to dance to the live music, but the single girls that are there are much more open than in other places. I'm usually the only white guy there, and plenty of the girls seem to like it- I'm often opened quite aggressively by girls here. Quality is across the board, but there are plenty of gems. I've been banging out a cute Mexicana bartendress here (who opened me as I walked by on my first night here), adding to my ample collection of Mexican flags. Unlike Jack Frost, I've been on a Latina kick lately (and love mojitos) and this is a good place to find not only Mexicans but girls from everywhere in Central and South America. There is a bartender here that looks just like Fidel Castro. Bar Louie attracts the sorority girl/frat douche crowd from TCU (as does almost everywhere in the West 7th area). People here go out in groups and I don't think it is suitable for solo hunting, though it is a great place to bring a girl and they have a popular rooftop patio.

A couple of other things to see in Fort Worth that were not previously mentioned are the Botanical Gardens and the Kimball Museum. The Botanical Gardens are spectacular and free and make a great place for a daytime date. I inadvertently happened upon a great bouncing move my first time here: The Gardens are just around the corner from where I live and, as luck would have it, do not sell water or even have a water fountain anywhere on the grounds. So after taking a Brazilian girl here for a couple of hours in the afternoon about a month ago, she became thirsty and of course where is a place close by to get some water? After coming upstairs for a quick drink, she stayed for the next eight hours. The Kimball Museum has a truly world-class art collection with some famous pieces that you may be surprised reside in Fort Worth. Caravaggio is one of my famous painters, and his The Cardsharps is here, as well as works from Duccio, Michelangelo, El Greco, Cezanne, Gauguin, and Picasso.

I think that too much has been made about the relatively friendliness of Fort Worth girls in contrast to girls from Dallas. I get a good reception whenever I go to Dallas, and the spoiled daddy’s girl/frat douche phenomenon that Jack Frost mentioned pollutes a lot of interactions with the ladies in Fort Worth. However, I’ve noticed that plenty of girls here are not shy about going after what they want (like my Embargo bartendress). Recently, a Freebirds burrito shop opened up on West 7th. Their food is mediocre, but I don’t go there for the food: this place is packed with young college (though not TCU) girls who flirt aggressively (at least with me). A girl gamed me from over the counter my second time here and wrote her phone number unsolicited on my burrito bag. I admire that kind of initiative and it makes dealing with attitude from the others much easier to take. Pickup was the last thing on my mind when I first came here- I just wanted some Mexican to cure my hangover, but after that kind of reception and seeing the talent that works here I’ve been finding more and more reasons to hang out here. As for Dallas, I’ve only been to restaurants and shopping places, though I tend to date girls from Dallas rather than Fort Worth, but I’ve been meaning to explore the nightlife in Dallas and will post my observations when I do. I also wouldn’t mind meeting any forum members who live in the DFW area. I prefer to hunt alone, but the nature of the venues in this area makes that difficult and much more would be accessible to me if a had a wingman.
