I'd argue that the number who use online dating actively and regularly is very low. This method self-selects for certain traits and certain goals, depending on the specific app. For example, Tinder attracts those who are exceptionally prone to attention-whoring and those who are open to random hookups, which is group with lots of daddy issues, sexual abuse history, and other psycho-emotional function.

100% Disagree, while those might the outliers, they definitely aren't the majority of the users.

I think the big thing to keep in mind (and I'm curious if you all agree or disagree with the premise), is that meeting someone offline is a DHV compared to meeting the same person online.
