Let me know of any updates dude. I tried to find some reasonably cheap French classes in Africa but didn't really make any solid progress.

Usually the best way to find classes is boots on the ground. Just ask around. Walk in to a language school.
Do at least one test class.
Teachers in commercial language schools can often be persuaded to make some cash on the side.

Does what you wrote about the rainy season go for ivory coast too? Not too big of a problem.

It does rain more in Abidjan than in Accra, but the worst month is June. Looking at the data I think you should be ok after the first week of July.
