Big Congrats on Raking some much money my man! As a complete noob who's never invested, would there be any literature you would recommend for option trading? Also is there any platform were it's possible to simulate option trading until ready to play with real money?

Yes, that is two weeks but expect more, I rarely have any losers.

There is so much literature out there but you will ever truly learn until you jump in and do it. Think or swim has a paper trading app but it just isnt the same as the real thing. I have all my trades at http://www.optionwolf.com and some educational material as well.

Guys. Option size kills. Trade small and often is my advice.

Just been staring to play with diagonal weeklies.

A pro, here in Canada, advised me to always close your OTM positions, even just to buy back for 1c on Friday afternoon. By letting it expire you run the risk of the tax man declaring what you're doing is earning income. Closing the position keeps it a pure capital transaction with applicable capital gains tax rates.

Trading options in Canada is ridiculously expensive. The cheapest is IB by far but unless you have 50k plus you can't open an account. (Small traders). The "discount" brokers from TD Scotia banks etc are even more costly.

I'm waiting until tastyworks comes. I hope they do as they are even cheaper than IB and accept smaller accounts. Buying back an option is zero with them.

There is a tasty trade group on Facebook and for me it's a great group for learning and trading options.
