Man, that's creepy the way that department superimposes a translucent star onto the perp's face.

I think that's supposed to be the outline of the state of Florida. Or a manatee's wang. Either one.

Viewing on a phone? Expand the image or tilt the top of the screen away from you. You'll see it.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Heavens to Betsy clutch the pearls! Such a shrinking violet she is.

The only crime to her is that she didn't make any money on it. She'll probably translate this 15-minutes of fame into an amateur porn career.

The issue I have is that it's more time than you get for stabbing someone in many jurisdictions. It's wrong, but it shouldn't be treated more seriously than actual bodily harm.

They could have put the star in the corner.

Ok, I see it now. To be honest, I only come back to this thread to see if anyone's posted the video yet.

Re-read the OP:

This is the third time this neckbeard's done some shady shit while working retail:

Quote:Quote:

In 2013, he was arrested on a grand theft charge after police said he stole two iPads from a Walmart in Largo while working in maintenance at the store. He participated in a pre-trial diversion program in that case, court records show.

About three years later, Sanchez Ramos, 26, pleaded guilty to scheming to defraud a T-Mobile store in Largo. According to police, he initiated fake returns on products customers bought with cash, then used the cash to buy accessories from the store to inflate his sales and increase his commission. He was still on probation for that charge when police arrested him in Hightower’s case.

So he escaped jail and fines two times before. How many more passes should he get? If his record was otherwise clean I'd agree but he's proven multiple times he's untrustworthy and few months in county might scare him straight.

My question is why was he hired at T-mobile when he has a history of stealing phones. That would be the first thing to pop if the employer took 10 seconds and googled him.

On a semi-related note, it's being reported today by C-Net and other places that the FBI paid Best Buy's Geek Squad staff to be informants and tell them about illegal content.

What I get from both these stories is that if you ever bring a phone or computer into one of any corporate store, you have ZERO expectation of privacy.

Keep everything valuable on external hard drives, and use your main phone or computer mostly just to run programs. I'm sure most of you know all this already, but it's worth repeating.

Also, it goes without saying to avoid these stores. I have a service I pay for where I can get help over the phone. It's worth the money.

If the FBI were investigating one individual they may have a case for that kind of arrangement for that investigation - and warrants would probably be involved. But to pay a private citizen to be on a permanent fishing expedition is over the top, as evidenced by Best Buy reprimanding the employee - they're probably also shitting bricks about lawsuits right about now too. But the article does say that in many states they're legally required to report discovery of things like child porn.

Regardless, ten years of the FBI paying informants is bound to have the phones ringing from pissed off defense attorneys who have a legit gripe against improperly obtained and perhaps fraudulently admitted evidence.

I have zero sympathy for child porn pervs but a pattern of crossing the line like that makes the FBI witch hunt against Trump seem all the more believable - who the fuck is in charge over there?
