Taos, NM, USA Datasheet

Resort destinations and art towns are fantastic places to visit because you will encounter arty girls and girls on vacations, which are both big positives. Taos delivers in both respects gentlemen because you have small art town of Taos, and then about 20 minutes away, the even smaller ski resort/ nature destination called Taos Ski Valley. Taos has a hippy bohemian vibe, but parts of it also give you like a higher end note, for example the ski resort.

I spent two summers here, so I saw a decent amount of the place. Also, I’ve heard the ski resort is great in winter, but it’s apparently expensive. Its one of the nicest places to ski in NM.

Helpful info:

"Natural" Scene- Not my can of worms, but DAMN is it big out here. Everyone just says fuck it and gets high. Locals are super into pot, and seems like all the girls are into it too. People for some reason all want to take mushrooms or LSD and walk around on the hiking trails. I was surprised at the number of girls partaking. Public pot smoking is common and I think it’s decriminalized in NM. There are a lot of yuppie/hippy types that are smoking grass too. Also super common for people to smoke j’s at the music venues/ bars here.

Beer/alcohol- It’s a touristy town so it’s expensive. Craft beer is the big thing. On plus side gas stations and supermarkets sell hard liquor. Locals like to buy small bottles and then drive around and smoke pot. Kind of a big problem.

Food- New Mexican cuisine is similar to tex-mex, and has some additional American Indian influences. Tex-mex style with a lot of roasted peppers and red and green sauces. Burritos (normal and breakfast) are pretty big, as well as the green chili pepper. Blue corn tortillas/ and enchiladas are big. Fried Indian flatbread with toppings is big too. If you like Tex-Mex, but more natural, fresh, etc, you will like the local food. Some higher end restaurants do American cuisine mixed with the local NM cuisine, or other styles.

Guadalajara Grill-One of the few decently priced spots in Taos. Good Tex-Mex and Mex-Mex. This is a solid casual spot with good food and good portion size. Nice patio as well.

Taos Pizza Out Back-All the bitches I were hanging with liked this place, but I thought it was over-priced.

Taos Mesa Brewing- Located near the Taos Gorge outside of town. Craft beer, and large patio, but a lot of dudes.

The Gorge Bar & Grill- Place is centrally located on the main square. Nothing notable other than the good location.

Alley Cantina- Lot of people go here to shoot pool.

KTAOS Solar Center- More of a music venue. But they have drinks. They have some fantastic bands when there’s concerts, which seems like multiple times a week. The outdoor patio area and stage is great, and you get beautiful views of the mountains. Also saw a dude selling a literal bushel of weed here before a concert.

Michael’s Kitchen- This breakfast/lunch place is really good with awesome pastries and some of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had.

There are also numerous gastropubs, and high end restaurants, I just cannot remember their names.

For such a small town, Taos has a lot of coffeehouses. I visited all of them, which I think was something like 15-20. If you look on yelp just choose a highly rated one, or one with a patio. They are all serving high quality coffee, and I was impressed. World Cup right off the main square has the best iced coffee I’ve ever had in my life.

Cid’s Market- is a good place to buy high quality food. It is a lot like an upscale food store like Central Market or Whole Foods, with items that you can buy that are ready to eat. Also probably a good place to pick up chicks given the food prices/ quality. Can not say that I tried.

El Monte Sagrado- Is the NICE resort in Taos. I was able to visit, but didn’t get a chance to game here at night. My guess is a lot of MILFS and hot women will be at the bar here. This resort is nice, and a great place for a spa day.

Taos also has a lot of smaller hotels that have their own bars… Some of these nicer places will be where you find the girls.. Can’t comment more because I was under the drinking age at the time.

Types of girls in Taos—Yuppie, new age older women, younger artist hipster girls, preppy/ yuppie girls on vacation to get some arts culture and pot, skiiers/ outdoor enthusiasts, etc. Also some students because there are summer university programs here and the surrounding areas. I actually was able to game some girls there were in Taos for a summer program (for university) and go to several of the bonfires they had near their campus. Good times!

Visit:

Taos Sky Valley- This is really almost a self-contained town, with bars/ restaurants, houses, hotels, vacation homes and the ski resort itself. It is a nice place to stay in the summer and is quiet and idyllic. The Ski Valley is a bit of drive 20-30 mins from Taos but is a cool place to stay a night in the hotel, Airbnb, etc. It also has some great hiking because it’s higher up than the city of Taos (more of an alpine climate than desert). Lots of great hiking here… You can also hike to the top of New Mexico’s tallest mountain. Takes a morning to do the whole hike, it is a physical hike but manageable. There are some beautiful mountain lakes and these are the perfect place to camp with a girl. The whole thing is postcard beautiful.

The hotel in the center of center of the valley is a great place to stay, right next to a mountain brook, if you can negotiate a good price. One of my favorite hotels.

There’s a german restaurant/bar, “The Bavarian”, at the trailhead which has some great german food, but has above average pricing. The people that run it also have some cabins next to it, and they are world-class based on their reviews that I’ve read and their location. Since the restaurant is a little higher than the center of the ski valley there are fewer people, less noise, and better views.

Taos Gorge- Huge canyon, hundreds of feet deep. It’s a cool experience to stand on the bridge and look down like 500ft below you.

Taos Hot springs- I heard the best things about naked chicks at the springs but wasn’t able to visit. They attract a lot of foreigners and cool girls, I did not visit but my buddy went about 10 times to chat up the hot girls.

Taos Pueblo- This is the indian reservation which has some of the oldest indian dwellings in north America (more than 500yrs) it is a great place to visit because it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Keep in mind you have to pay extra for the privilege to take photos.

Santa Fe- worth a visit for the architecture and the fact that it’s bigger than taos. 2 hrs drive.

Also there is an Indian casino right on the edge of the town.

Transportation: It’s a fun roadtrip to hit Taos from Texas, but I’m assuming most people will fly. You will have to fly into ABQ or Santa Fe and then rent a car or take a shuttle. I recommend a car because you basically need a car to get around Taos and surrounding area. Taxis in Taos are crap, don’t use them. You will want a car so you can go on various day trips in this part of New Mexico.

If you want to know more about something or have questions, just ask.

Honest question. Have you actually banged any 7+ girls anywhere in NM, let alone Taos... Hispanic girls tend be unattractive with curves. Same for Native Americans. Most white girls there are older and too much sun. Even the hippies are undesirable. I thought the only city with enough quality abundance to bother going out was ABQ. Even that was disappointing because it’s rather spread out.

Full disclosure: this datasheet is from before I was full Red Pill (2013-2014). Local girls are not really worth it. Tourist girls are way better. As I said, if you can find the university girls you are set. They're the only girls I had success with there. I also wasn't able to drink, so that messed logistics up for me pretty horribly. Concerts are a really good option too, because lot of women are there and the ratios are way better.
