What I find striking (or galling) about these trad-thots is that they really seem to think they're something special, as if a motivated 8 with some acting skills willing to cut their lunch wouldn't shit all over them 8 days a week.

Then again, perhaps not. I'm old enough to remember Beverly Hills 90210 and there was a something of a meme (such as they existed then) that some guys fantasised about fucking the ugly girl in the show because they were such losers that they couldn't build a mental narrative about fucking the hot ones. Their self esteem was just so low that the very concept of it was too much for their personal suspension of disbelief.
