Going after something from work is a bad idea and people do it anyway. However, if she's taken no initiative to show interest in a social setting, it's absolutely a bad idea. My ex used to get 2-3 messages a week from old co-workers, guys who were in her field, recruiters, etc and there was always 1 that was an unsolicited date. She would show them to me almost mocking the guys that use that platform. Not saying you shouldn't, but like others have said, it's pretty open.
