Hey guys, does anyone else here play American football? I don’t mean at some point in the past, as I know a lot of people have certainly played in high school, but does anyone still currently play? College, semi-pro, football abroad? I was born and raised in the US, and played in high school, but I currently live in Shanghai, and play on a team that is in a league with 17 other teams from all around China. We’re playing in the league quarterfinals this weekend against a team from Hong Kong. Currently every tier one and two and a few tier three cities here in China have full-pads adult teams, and most are a part of one of two nationwide leagues in this country. All these teams are also like 90-100% local Chinese guys, with maybe one foreign coach. My work also has to do with football, so I’m kind of surrounded by this sport 24/7.

Anyone else in the thick of their season at the moment?

I played in high school until I got kicked out of school, I was a monster defensive tackle. Probably would have gotten into college with full scholarship if I wasn't such an impulsive jackass (high t ADHD.)
