Normally long periods?

Normally long periods?

Just started seeing someone new. She tells me her period is more like 10-14 days bleeding on a 40-60 day cycle as opposed to 4-7 days on a 28 day cycle.

This is a new one on me, and I've verified the 10 days of bleeding so far. Anyone ever bump into something like this before?

Periods have variety of length for each female. What you girl has is irregular period from the perspective of normal human physiology. She needs to OBGYN specialist to figure out what is going on with her periods. I suggest you make an appointment now.

Hormonal imbalance. I knew a girl who would only bleed 4 times a year, and it was only for a few days. She had low estrogen issues, as I understand it.

I must have low estrogen levels.

I only bleed a few times a year, usually as a result of some sort of physical trauma.

Birth control pills can mess up big time with the periods (and most importantly the endocrine system).
Try finding out if she is taking contraceptives regularly or any kind of meds that could affect that

If it's normal for her, and not from a sickness like anemia or something, don't worry about it.
If it's from something else, then check it out.

Appreciate all the advice so far. She tells me she's getting on BC to normalize her periods.

No symptoms I'd associate with low E: no anxiety, good libido, no vaginal dryness, etc.

Sounds like it's not unusual. Just a new to me.

Actually, BC pills are used to control abnormal periods and help regulate abnormal ovulation cycles. Sometimes people have abnormal physiology that medicine needs to correct.

I concede your point, though in a case I was involved in it was the other way around and got to hear some stories from the gyno [Image: blush.gif]

Every woman is different, she may have endometriosis, has she been checked out?

Get the BC hormone rod in her arm to level out the cycle and stop her getting pregnant when you raw dog her.

Also, remember what Uncle Rattie says "You don't stop fighting when you get a bloody nose"

Buy some cheap red towels and game on.

Irregular periods can also be a sign of an STD. I had a buddy who dated a chick who only got her period every two months. Turned out she has Chlymidia.

Vampire. That's how lady vampires get rid of the blood they drink after they've processed the life energy out of it. For male vampires it comes out the butt like normal.

I have come across this. It turned out to be uterine fibroids, its a non cancerous growth that causes bleeding problems. The girl ended up having to have a hysterectomy.

Is she lower than normal body fat %? Skinny/muscular ones always seem to be irregular in some way. Doesn't mean anything is wrong but can definitely make a guy used to a 28 day cycle sweat.

Believe me, brother, I'm hitting it if even if I'm bleeding from my ears. She's young and self conscious about this sort of thing.
