The most recent thread I found on this was 2014 so I was wondering if I could get any advice on San Diego?

How bad are the ratios here and is it really a horrible place to meet women. How problematic are all the military running around?

On the surface/ Yes it is Man Diego because of the large military presence.

However, once you start seeing the dynamics during night game, it's almost like everywhere else. Our guys, while handling the most extreme conditions out in war, can be scared shitless to approach a woman or a set. I've made some good military friends over the years, and have seen other military guys out at night, and a good number of them can't handle approaching unless massively drunk. Others completely give in to the demands of women (beta mindset) because they're most of the time use to working with men and not women. It's like their circuits get burned. Some though, can approach and handle quite well. Unfortunately a lot of our military guys come back with PTSD, and settle in SD because of the great VA services here, so it's really hard for them to be out and about.

Generally, You don't want to compete against Man Diegans on who can run the fastest, or who can have the best aim while shooting a gun. Rather, you have to come at it as, I'm the coolest, funniest, successful, interesting, fit, sarcastic, bad ass, can listen to a woman and have a great conversation that is better than anyone else.

You gotta be the Delta-Force of Game. NOT the delta force of the military. That way you always win the inner game battle, and have a better shot than other guys in this city.

Good luck!

I've been to San Diego a few times. College/Military town so lots of young people. Plenty of tail running around on the beaches. Underrated place I feel, considering local talent and being a hop and skip away from crossing the border to Tijuana. Just be careful there at night and stay in the touristy areas(In Tijuana).

Great place. The only CA city I would even consider living.

I was in SD in late 2016 for 10 days on business.

Plenty of good looking girls and they seem pretty down.

Didn't get very many matches on Tinder.

Went out to a few dinners and saw plenty of cuties around, they're pretty friendly overall.

Seems like logistics would be a nightmare since it's so sprawled out, unless you live in the Gaslamp close to the bars, or in a concentrated area like del mar.

We also went down to Ocean Beach one night and that's a pretty happening place but typical night game dynamics of paying for expensive booze with bad ratios.

Cool city overall, but it would be a really expensive place to live.

I was born and raised in SD. Last visit was in June 2017 for a few weeks. it's hit or miss. being at the right place at right time with horny girl around.

I live in Colombia now and went to Onyx on a Friday which is Latin music and had great time. Went home with some chick and her friend to North Park and slept over. Got some serious LMR and fell asleep. She invited me to beach the next day but I got over it and decided to rest up for saturday night.

went to Omnia Saturday and did bang some girl from mississippi. It is very random there. Tons of transplants everywhere (people who move to SD for work but not raised there).

Girl guy ratio at Onyx was not bad. guessing it is because most guys do not want to dance to latin music but girls love it.
Omnia had bad girl guy ratio and i lucked out knowing a VIP host at omnia from college who let me bypass the long line.

Guy who said sprawled out is right.

Gaslamp has biggest nightclubs. Personally, i like gaslamp most because it seems to be the area where girls get dressed up for a night out on the town. North Park and PB is a lot of locals who live there who will throw on their flip flops and head out for a drink.

Can get lucky either way for sure. In my experience though i have better luck at gaslamp. PB, has lots of good looking guys who are too lazy to put on decent clothes and head to the gaslamp. they like to stay near the ocean in their flip flops and tank tops. i used to be one of those guys lol.

Since I speak spanish, i definitely prefer tijuana. but if you don't speak spanish i probably would not recommend it unless you are a tall good looking white guy with a wingman who speaks spanish.

SD can get a bad rap because it’s so spread out so oftentimes bad logistics, and honestly there is a lot of competition. It’s consistently warm enough to work out, so there are extremely fit people everywhere. You have a six pack? The valet has an eight pack...but game can surpass that.

Many mentions of the military so I’ll say I’ve been here a long time and never really considered military guys (who I respect) to be major competition outside of the dance floor in clubs that attract military guys, and/or ladies who chase them. I’ve defintely had to stand my ground against some who overstepped, but how would you act if you were full of testosterone and hadn’t seen an attractive lady in 9+ months? A majority of the military guys are solid good people, but not the most seasoned players SD has to offer.

There is an equal number of women who don’t give military guys a chance, simply based on the bad rep that some bad apples have given them.

There are many “neighborhoods” which have their own individual pockets and can cater to different people.

North county-all very seasonal due to proximity to beaches.starting from north and going south:

Oceanside- adjacent to Camp Pendleton, the largest marine corps base in USA to my knowledge. A City which has a bad rap in the area but has seen a resurgence in past 30 years, particularly in past 10. Many different ‘pockets’. ‘South O’ is the best for game. It’s west of 101 and runs south of mission ave to the lagoon between carlsbad/oceanside, although boundaries are debatable. While it still has seedy areas, there are breweries and gastro pubs which have popped up offering good nightlife, but nothing too late night. The further east of the 101/5 you go the more ghetto it gets essentially, so not worth out of towners time really. There is a good outdoor market on Thursday evenings called sunset market near mission ave, west of 101 which is good for gaming since it’s central and mixed amongst bars, but it’s all ages and there’s sometimes local drama but ignore and move on and it’s a great place. Stone brewery has a tasting room, and search yelp for latest greatest bars but LTH and bagby always attract talent for a casual gastro pub type place, 333 near pier for a little higher end, and dives are surprisingly full of surfer chicks and rockabilly style hipsters.

Carlsbad- once was the only nightlife in north county, but has dropped and become more of a hipster/local area. Much higher income so more expensive drinks, more families and timeshares. You can definitely swoop here especially in summer, but quite sleepy and clicky in off season. Lots of businesses on southeast end of the city so happy hours are a good bet. 2 pizza port breweries with great beer, burgeon brewery is top notch and best at post work hours for the sugar momas. Lots of bars in the ‘village’ that you can hop back and forth to.

Encinitas- similar to carlsbad but more of a hippy yogi vibe, although it’s become quite fabricated in the past decade there are bars and restaurants opening daily. Stay near 101.

Cardiff- surf town, some small bars again on 101 that are worth a look with live music etc. nice campground on beach.

Solana Beach- small rich beach town, near Del Mar and has a coaster station and free bus to Del Mar racetracks during summer. Bars around it go off durring race season.

Del Mar- where the money is in north county, Del Mar racetrack is great and datasheets have been written on it, look them up. Go to the races durring summer for sure.

Torrey pines- the golf tournaments are full of hot chicks, go and enjoy the view while day gaming.

La Jolla, beautiful cove and rich beach area of San Diego. Lots of tail and nightlife, higher end and can find some fine girls with trust funds for sure.

Pacific beach- the party beach town catering to college age crowd. Lots of bars, fine tail, coke heads, fist fights, and dui checkpoints. Seriously be careful if you drink and drive here, not that I condone it but it’s a high dui area due to lack of inlets/outlets and a high number of bars. Many Sdsu students live here.

Mission beach- similar to PB but slightly rougher around the edges at times, nice boardwalk.

Ocean beach- nice pier but it’s a hippy/bum haven. Lots of pot smoke, dreadlocks, drum circles, and runaway druggies. Cool vibe but ghetto and weird at times, can find some gems here though.

Central Sd-Northpark, kengsington, normal heights etc are the hipster hang outs and in my opinion the best places for night life for the average person.lots of craft brews, some live shows, handlebar mustaches and flannels. There is a concentration of bars in northpark that get busy even on weeknights and enough housing close by that people walk to them, so that’s my best bet for one nighters. Just like any place, get a trendy neighborhood bar on lock and you will be in good shape.

Balboa park- great for daygame at the museums and gardens.

Gaslamp- concentration of hotels, bars and restaurants due to convention center. Higher end, club scene on weekends and busy when conventions are in town on weekdays. One of few places in SD that has dress codes so check, but nice jeans and button down usually get you in. Most expensive area but where all the ladies go to get dolled up and have chumps buy them $20+ cocktails. Can clean up there if that’s your scene, saturday is busiest night. High end bars/lounges are great for weeknight gaming.

South Bay- not too familiar to be honest but more Latina and Filipina’s in my experience.

Chula Vista- almost Tijuana so Latinas y mas Latinas.

While not comprehensive, I hope it’s helpful to some. Despite not being the best city for game, San Diego has strong points and neighborhoods/scenes for everyone.

Is this a thing overall? In DC salsa clubs only charge men because of the imbalance.

May as well stop by the "Safeway" grocery store and pick up a 12 pack of hot dog buns for the sausage surplus here.

But is it easy to get girls? Like are girls more down than say other places?

i haven't been to DC,

But i know many colombians who go to DC and many mexicans who go to california.

Colombians are the better dancers and more comfortable dancing. Mexicans have much more influence from America and they are getting fat (like americans) and seem to be dancing less (like Americans).

So my logic would tell me that there is more cololombian (dancing) influence in DC compared to California.

in California, the guys are like frozen on the dance floor when latin music comes on.

Honestly, I don't think it is easier to get girls in San Diego relative to other places. I was in Pittsburgh in June 2017 for one week and had a much easier time with woman there.

There is way better looking girls in san diego but there are a ton more good looking guys. San Diego can be a bit superficial so looks go a long way.

I think if you are even a little overweight in San Diego you will have a lot of trouble unless you like fat girls.

When you guys say "better looking" do you mean just physique or like model faces? Because I saw REALLY model looking guys in LA but really jacked muscular dudes in Miami.

Both. But, I do not mean "jacked" guys in SD, just mean they to the gym regularly and are fit.

I lived in Miami for 3 months late 2015. I didn't work, just partied, so got a good feel for the environment there

Way more competition in San Diego than Miami. The guys are taller, more fit and less hot girls.

Miami beach, yes you will see jacked dudes everywhere but that is only a sliver of miami. Go to Brickell where the young professional hot girls are and you will not see that many jacked dudes; instead you will see shorter guys with average builds.

However, in san diego you will see above average looking dudes everywhere you go. Whether it is body or face, you will see more model looking faces on men in SD AND you will also see more lean bodies in SD relative to Miami.

The whole "jacked" thing doesn't really matter when it comes to competition. A semi-fit body with game can go up against jacked guy no problem.

But if you have are a bit overweight with average face you will have easier time pulling in miami then san diego in my opinion.

San Diego is extreme on the superficial side. I don't know how else to put it.

@thedeadknight - As a veteran with PTSD, your comments on the matter make you a duchebag.

....Moving on. As a resident neighbor to the North, a girlfriend once told me that “the military is half the dating pool.” Call me beta but I’m not looking for a sausage fest, although cuties abound.

Cross the border and go to Las Pulgas in TJ and have fun with Mexican girls that can’t cross la liña.
