Anyone watch this guys vids? His recent vids have been Island hoping in the Caribbean. He drives around and also walks through different towns. Pretty cool, but I would like to see more dialog between him and the locals. I wonder what his story is? must be nice to have the finances to just travel.

IM surprised that his GoPro haven’t been stolen yet with that stabilizer on there.

I think that's why he doesn't like to stop in one place for any length of time. If he chats with someone, he cuts it short and moves on.

But if anyone in Latin America wanna steal his obvious GoPro and stabilizer on the street it’s probably easy too. He prob only goes to safe neighborhoods.

Good stabilization videos though. They are very stable compared to some other videos out there where people are just hand holding their g7x

^This. Not overly impressed by this guy or the general concept, but if it is something that interests you there are people executing it with much higher production value than him.

And yes, the first people to capitalize on this have no doubt made stupid amounts of ad money for just showing up to places and walking around with a GoPro / stabilizer.

Looks good for catching a glimpse of places before you visit, worth way more views than he's got.

He has got a lot of subscribers, largely due to the amount of videos he is posting. That’s quite important, more than the amount of views per video.

I'm not surprised. Bridgetown was cool. I never felt threatened or saw anyone that looked sketchy.

It's not really that easy, especially if you go to places that aren't exceptionally touristy.

Not to mention managing finances, learning the local language, and navigating.

I take it you haven't traveled much?

I won't overemphasize the difficulties of traveling, but for those who travel all-year, or live a location independent lifestyle, it's not overly easy; and is often difficult to manage a healthy lifestyle (I've been doing it for a while now).

Not to mention, we don't typically go to Westernized places...So it certainly isn't all unicorns & rainbows.

I see a fair amount of globetrotting IG accounts. YouTube there are less. I gave mine up since it’s too hard uploading videos from crap Wi-Fi. I had a backlog of thousands of videos from multiple countries. Not worth it for the chump change I was making. You’re better off doing one video a week on a niche thing that appeals to people under 25 who watch all day.

You can travel your whole life and just go to touristy places. Most IG guys I see are going to the top ten destinations. Bullshit. Might as well watch Rick Steve’s. It’s laughable. Almost as bad as traveling around the world and getting drunk every night to bang a bunch of 6-7s.

I try to mix it up by starting in cities and then traveling regionally. You get a good mix of both. If you just go to out of the way places it can be hard to meet quality women. It happens but with dry spells.

Whereas if you start in a city you can meet women. Keep in touch. Maybe they come visit you in the National Park for a weekend. I actually just did that. Girl from São Paulo met me in Itatiaia for a few days. Now I’m driving back with her and she’ll drop me right off at the airport.

I think that’s the best option for seeing all the areas of a region. Though it’s exhausting. I’m thinking this winter in SEA I’ll just fly from one big city to another. Way easier to pipeline for online game when you know exactly what dates you’ll be in a city and line em up on tinder.
