What did you think when you found this forum?

The other day a guy I know who's going through a divorce after 20 years was sitting in my office with me and asked "What are you looking at?"

I told him to come look and he sat in my seat he scanned the forum for a few minutes and I watched his jaw start dropping untill his mouth was wide open.

I found this forum when I had crazy thoughts about bringing a Colombian girl to come live with me.
After reading for a couple hours decided that it was a terrible idea.
My thoughts were Holy shit!

I had never typed before I came here but felt that I needed to jump in.

I had done countless hours of research on CA/SA and decided Buenos Aires was the best place to live and learn Spanish. Holy shit. After reading the threads on how hard it was to get laid there I changed plans. That in itself saved me a lot of heartache and money.

I compared other threads to my own travel experiences, and realized the honesty and accuracy of the membership. I felt compelled to join and add my dos centavos, instead of lurking. Been tormenting you guys ever since.

I wasn't surprised. I've been exposed to all sorts of different forums since the mid to late 1990s. What does surprise me is how well mannered and cultured the majority of its users are, in addition to both the quality and wealth of good knowledge. Not something you see everyday, that's for sure. Puts those "PUA" forums to shame.

People need to stop lurking if you ask me.

I've been reading Roosh since, I don't know 2008? I'm pretty sure that I found his site because he was linked to Roissy, who I started reading in 2007 and is still one of the best out there.

Word seems to be getting out, too; a lot of them don't post, but about 20 new people register daily.

I forget why I joined his forum, probably yet another whim (I'm the type of cat that just does whatever and don't know why; girls find this aspect simultaneously alluring and infuriating) and started posting when I saw how good the advice was. Back in the genesis my game was beginner, thanks to this site and others, as well as work on my end, it's stepped up to the point where I have no trouble getting laid; I don't do the volume that Roosh, MPM and Mixx do, but I do easily crush (in terms of lays-per-year, mean attractiveness of my average girl and in head-to-head battle) all but one of my friends who were all getting more ass than I was as little as 5 years ago.

It's practical advice that any man can put into practice; no fuzzy hats, no military-protocol PUA jargon and no trying to force you to go to a place you can't stand (like a shitty club with a $40 cover) because 'that's where the women are.'

What I really like though; the members are helpful. Roosh just did a blog post about how native men will set traps and give faulty advice to foreigners about the women of the land, but here, on a forum where everyone is anonymous and few of us know each other in person, you'll always get honest advice.

I posted here when I wanted some advice. The advice I received was top notch, so I checked out more of the forum. I liked what people had to say about things and I realized this was a quality forum.

It was great. I was sick and tired of hanging out with guys who would complain about not getting laid, but not do shit about it. I was also happy because Rooshs site and this forum keeps the BS at a minimum. I was annoyed with the 'I can bang any 9 or 10 I see in the street within 30 minutes' nonsense that was going on online over the past few years. I always knew that rejection was the key to getting laid a lot, and I was happy to find guys who were realists about getting laid.

I found the forum after finding Roosh (and others') site and after reading Bang, it was refreshed in all honesty. Its nice to find a place on the Internet thats not rife with bullshit and lies. For the most part I find the advice and topics here to be very accurate and trustworthy. Its gotten to the point now where even if I have a question not directly related to game I'll come here looking for insight because I know the men on this board can be trusted.

What did you think when you found this forum?

I had been on places like theattractionforums.com eversince I was a noob but gradually realized the quality of content was pretty low. Sure, they did have some veterans dropping in some gems time to time but it was mostly total noobs asking "I just got a number, now what?" or even a couple of older guys(one 36 year old in particular who writes a sob story journal about repeatedly failing, with an occasional bang once a month, that has run to 100 pages and counting) hating on the world for their lack of success. When I came here I was blown away with the level of game some cats have here and their total devotion and commitment to it! Another most amusing thing was the datasheets- it was amazing to see that level of precision and seriousness for game!

What did you think when you found this forum?

I found it indirectly -- I am a big fan on Instapundit, and Glenn Reynolds links to Roissy from time to time (Glenn really bemoans the fact that American culture has been feminized, a topic taken up from time to time by his hot wife, Dr. Helen Smith).

Roissy linked to Roosh...and here I am.

And what did I think? After I lurked for a while? It's this.

The insight from the top posters in the forum is incredible. Like all boards, there is stuff that is useless, but it's all about the people who post great insights. If you get smart people giving you their ideas and arguments, then you've got a great board. Simple as that.

I need to copy and save most of the amazing intel here, read it repeatedly, and then use it in real life.

As soon as I have enough of my own experiences out in the field using the knowledge here, the best way to show my thanks is become a member and add to it .

What did you think when you found this forum?

I found it after searching other forums, kinda wanted to associate myself with a group.

I first saw the loveshy forum- Fuck that, toxic people with awful mindsets that do nothing but whine and put other people down. Bitter people who have a sense of entitlement. It wasnt the fact that they were awful with girls that made me despise them, it was the way they "handled it". A miserable place to be that forum, never signed up.

Then I saw the MOTGW forum- a mixture of good people who have a lot of pride, who go out there and travel, who go gym , who achieve. Still too many divorced men expressing their bitterness and resent towards women for me to join. Shame, because I am kind of a MOTGW myself. I love the fact that they are unfazed by haters and "being alone" (which is a taboo subject in our modern day society"

Then I found this forum- I probably dont fit here much because I dont put maximal effort into trying to lose my virginity but I like people's insight and thoughts about how they view the world, (e.g travel, everything else section). Also wanted to know what you guys make of people who were MGOTW's

I got here indirectly via Instapundit as well. I started seeing links from him to his wife's (Helen Smith) site around 2007, where she would be talking about the risks of divorce rape. She was coming at things from a MRA angle, but also talking about how guys are disrespected in the culture, such as commercials that always have stupid fathers. I recognized this situation was true.

I saw some of Instapundit's links to Roissy and to Vox Day's Alpha Game blog as well, but at the time I was married. I figured this material was strictly for PUAs and players, and I was faithful.

I took the red pill when I read some material about gaming your wife to restore a dead sex life. I had recognized that my wife respected me and was proud of me as a husband, due to my job and the house I provided. She also shared a number of interests with me with real enthusiasm. However, she had no sexual attraction for me at all. I realized this on my own, so when I saw red pill materials about alpha fux/beta bux, it clicked like a conversion experience.

I was slow to make my way to this forum. I read a lot of Roissy, and I'd check out Roosh's regular blog. However, I couldn't relate to him as much at the time, because I didn't see myself traveling the world the way he has been doing. Instead of ending up in the forum, I started reading ROK and commented there regularly.

I gradually started visiting here now and then, and got sucked in. Now I see the ideas on this forum as the truest and best form of the manosphere mindset.

I'm the tower of power, too sweet to be sour. I'm funky like a monkey. Sky's the limit and space is the place!
