AMSTERDAM (AP) — Dutch prosecutors are charging a 42-year-old woman with stalking after she allegedly called her ex-boyfriend 65,000 times in the past year.
The 62-year-old victim from The Hague filed a police complaint in August due to the persistent phone calls. Police arrested the suspected stalker Monday, seizing several cell phones and computers from her home in Rotterdam.
Hague prosecution spokeswoman Nicolette Stoel said Thursday the woman argued to judges at a preliminary hearing she had a relationship with the man and the number of calls she placed to him wasn't excessive. The man denied they had a relationship.
The court ordered her not to contact him again.

Dutch Nutjob Calls Ex 65,000 Times
I set up a Google Voice account last week. I'm never giving my real phone number to a girl again.

Yep Google voice...it's great. One day they may charge for it, but until then. . .
Skype is also great -- set up a unique account for your activities.
Also look into iCall VOIP -- it's free (though calls are just a few minutes allowed) and works on the iPhone.
Use Yahoo messenger to SMS/text. Also available for the iPhone and presumably other smart phones.
Basically the communication tools out there allow complete anonymity and get you off the identifiable and traceable part of the phone/cellular grid.
it wasn´t me

Can someone break down the usefulness of Google Voice?
I am admittedly extremely technologically deficient.
Thanks.

Go to voice.google.com while you're logged in with a Gmail account and sign up. You get to pick a phone number from anywhere in the country and you can use it to make and receive calls and texts from an unlimited number of devices (for example, I have it forward all received calls and texts to my regular cell phone, and I can make calls and send texts from my phone using the Google voice number). Calling is free within the US (and pretty cheap internationally, they list their rates on the site) and texts just use your Gmail inbox space so for all practical purposes they're unlimited. You can also change your number or link to a new device at any time, so it's pretty awesome to be able to give it out and not worry about some psycho bitch calling you a million times.

Plus it super simple to block any number with one click. They hear "sorry this number has been disconnected" while all other numbers still work.

How are the rates when calling America from a foreign country?
How are the rates when calling America from a foreign country?
I just set up my own account, works great. Thanks for convincing me.
