Leticia (Colombia)

[Image: Sn_mek_obrazovky_2017-09-15_v_0.37.35.png]
Exiting Port of Leticia

Small shitty town (30k population), but you will get most of the things that you can get in normal civilisation. It’s relatively cheap as normal colombian prices apply for the most part (taxis, restaurants and illegal stuff can be more expensive).

Not much to do in there besides arranging your trips in the jungle and so on.

Internet is available in several places around the town where you pay 1-2 mil pesos for 30 min. It’s not good (I am talking waiting 1-2 min for a page to load and sometimes refreshing so multiple 1 min loading times.) so if you work online don’t expect to do much, even Havana has better connection nowadays. If you have colombian data you will be able to catch 3G sometimes which was good enough to send some photos though WhatsApp and chat, loading pages not so much.

You can stay in some cabins around the town where you are in nature but it does not make much sense as you can go straight into the jungle, in hotels (60k up) and hostels (20k for dorm).

If you want to have any specific clothes for the trip I would advice to buy them upfront, there are many shops with “wide” selection of clothes (at least for town that size) but for me it was a hustle to find something proper and durable to wear even for the jungle.

It’s a safe touristy town.

Airport is easily reachable, even walkable distance if you want to be walking around with your stuff for 30 min in that heat. I took taxi to the airport about 45 min before departure of my flight on the way back and no problems, very straightforward, they will just want you to go to the immigration office at the airport and will check your colombian visa, if you got it or not.

Some food probably did not sit well in my stomach after return from the jungle so I woke up twice during the night and was shitting water, while vomiting into a sink, luckily it was my last day.

It was $150 roundtrip from Bogota.

Tabatinga (Brasil)

“Centrum” of Tabatinga

Haven’t spend there much time, just walked across the border, had some brazilian beers and after I found out that the centre of the town is basically just the main road from Leticia with bunch of shitty shops and fast foods I walked back as the rest were just residential “houses”.

Everyone said that there are a good parties during weekends so if you want to do that, it’s more or less your only option. Ask locals for the exact names of the venues, but I haven’t been.

Note - Recent news about workers in the jungle that massacred Indians got out because they were bragging about it in brazilian town near colombian border - Might as well been while they were trying to shag some birds in Tabatinga.

(60k population)

Puerto Narino (Colombia)

View of Puerto Narino, Amazon river and it’s connection

Even smaller town (8k population) with no real streets and roads, has just one car for picking up trash. Nice small town, way nicer than Leticia with couple of shops where you can buy cigs, alcohol, snacks and basic shit like rice and oil. (plus probably some eating place as well but I did not look for it and you can be easily fed from the river.)

There is a speed boat going to Leticia and stopping in each village on the river. It’s about 90km from Leticia by the river.

Very nice view from the tower (2k entry fee if I remember correctly, might been 5k).

Game

Your best bet is to stay at hostels and game chicks there, preferably some travelling latinas. Easy to socialise and you have shitload of excuses for isolating chicks like “let’s check out the river bank.”

Another option would be to go to those party places on Brasilian side. Take a cab (You will pay more, would expect at least 20k for 7-15 min drive.) and try to get lucky with some brazilian chick. Colombian dudes in Leticia always said that girls on the other side are better and more down to fuck.

My Bang

Chick from Bogota area came solo at the same time to the hostel I was signing up in, she started chatting with me and we talked sometimes during my stay in the hostel. The next day I saw her in the evening bored with phone in the bed so I proposed some drinks.
We went to the river bank, bought bunch of beers and sat there on the bench, she wanted to take a boat ride and we saw some locals boarding “taxi boat” so we joined. “Captain” dropped off the family into half destroyed house on the water that was not even standing straight and drove us around for 20k.
We went back to the bench, I went for the kiss, she was grabbing my erection so I pulled my dick out and she said “Where?”.
I proposed fucking in the port but she proclaimed to be “mujer delicada" so we started to look for a hotel, eventually after several failed attempts we found one with free room and banged.

She was like 8 when it comes to normal rating, plus big juicy tits so maybe 8,5.

It was like 2am when we went to sleep and I had my “jungle tour” starting at 7am. She woke me up once more around 4am by grabbing my dick (I probably had erection in sleep), I was a bit pissed but I fucked her again and tried to sleep.

Jungle and River

You got plenty of options, there is an agency or hostel offering trips on every corner from 1-5 days (Maybe even longer trips but this was what I saw.), You can go to the Brasilian, Colombian or Peruvian side of the jungle.
The tours are usually from 150k-700k depending on how many clients they got and how you bargain etc.
Most tours will be probably “quick-quick” lets see this and that, move fast, but as I was the only one on the tour I directed the plan and choose what I want to do.

I took 3 days tour and spend most time of it drinking beer and smoking weed with hippie employee of the hostel, just us two on the boat, smoking one joint each hour, fishing fucked up with fishing net and fishing poles (not really, just a bamboo stick with some string attached to it.)
It was super fun, you can swim in the river as well (Probably not all places etc. but eventually it’s your call, I done it and nothing happend.).
Fishing was incredibly easy, I done it for the first time in my life and did not need even an hour to catch enough for a big lunch. With proper equipment and skills it should be fishermans paradise.

I have visited couple of villages and slept in one. There were about 100-300 people in each and maybe one place where you could buy some stuff but most of it was from the jungle (Ice cream from some fruits that grow around, booze from platano made by the neighb etc.). Most of them had power from solar panels.
People live in wooden shacks and you can hear everyone for the most part even in next house.

Indigenous women don’t look that bad, especially if they haven’t had dozen kids yet and their tits and not down to the knee level, they will give you “the look” from time to time.
When I was taking shower in “backyard” of one of these houses AKA splashing water from the barrel on myself, couple of young girls walked past me, it seemed like they did not expect naked white dude to be there, so I just said “Hola” and they made quick entrance to the house.

Otherwise very nice people. I felt like some of these dudes are trying to insure me that they are not so primitive anymore, like I cared about it. Usually working together on everything like in a communist dream.

Went for a few hour hike with one dude from the village in the jungle, was nice but definitely not like from the horror movies, it’s just a huge forest. You will probably not see much wildlife, I head shitload of monkeys, saw bunch of tarantulas in their little nests after dark. (I went to jungle just before sunset.)

Pro tips

If I would go there next time I would not take the tour but instead go solo, take a boat somewhere from the port.
For example - Taking speed boat from Leticia to Puerto Narino, few min by the river (Not Amazon river but the one connected to it where Puerto Narino stands) is a hostel (It’s still in the “bay” of Puerto Narino where you can see boat houses and stuff) which has bunch of animals they take care of like moneys, parrots etc. plus have couple of cabins for rent (25k), big common spaces with hammocks, kitchen, functional shower, fans etc. It’s up the hill so you got good view from on the river and the jungle. (I don’t think they have any contact online you will just have to go to the port and ask around, it should be easy - it’s as well reachable from the town by foot.)
They have a rowing boat and proper fishing pole that you can borrow for free so you can just go on the river and catch your own lunch easily.
Chill there, watch sunsets and sunrises, maybe giving money to some guy to take me to any location I would like to go to (There are some lakes with caimans nearby).

I did not bother to wear long sleeve or long pants, had them on just for the jungle hike but it was not necessary, I did not even use anything against insect or sun. You might want to have those clothes as it might get cold in the night (It did not, just people said it might.). Otherwise you should have just proper boots, which I wear all the time anyway.

Go there during the season in which the river is high so you are able to sail in those little streams that are all over from the main rivers. I think that will be great, I just could not as it was too low. (In winter it should be fine and probably more times a year.)

Finals word

It’s great to get disconnected, you don’t give shit about anything, what time it is, what cunt did something etc. It’s better than meditation.

Smoking dope, crushing beers and fishing; my three favourite things to do! Nice data sheet Uruz, I still haven't been to Amazonas but look forward to it and will definitely come back to this data sheet when planning.

Looking forward to the Haiti data sheet.

I'm not sure, if it's something recent then it's most likely his posts in this thread:thread-64883.html

But that's just a guess.

Thanks for the update. That post was deleted but I can see how a post in that thread could easily get ban worthy. I stayed away from that thread because the topic was just too crazy for me. Leave that discussion to the father's out there.

Another fallen soldier, he just wrote me today that he is about to enter Haiti to prepare for Africa. It is happening...2018. Sharpen your knives, we're about to enter the jungle.
