Attractive friends like to have a fat/ugly girl around because it makes them feel better about themselves in comparison. Plus, the fat/ugly girl will often do all kinds of things for them like hold their purse, coat, etc. The fat/ugly girl does this so she can experience some of the reflective glow of being attractive. But basically, she is a secretary of sorts for the attractive girl. And the fat/ugly girl cockblocks because she fears being replaced by the man and losing her purpose. Since she can't get laid, nobody should get laid. It is certainly not about caring for her friend who she will ironically complain the whole night about doing things for her friend yet won't say a word to her until she fears you taking the friend away from her.
