I was 18 and trying to decide which college to play football at. No way was I going to try and pick up a 45 year old football coach.

He's referring to corporate recruiters that are disproportionately attractive women

Yes. Just chat her up like any other girl. Express interest in the job opportunity. Accuse her of only being interested in you for what you can bring to the company and that she is trying to earn a kidnapping commission. Tease, flirt, inquire. Get her business card and make sure it has her cell phone on it. Playfully say "We have more business to discuss, over lunch and drinks. What's your next off day?". Cut straight to the chase. If she's interested and she gave you her card with her cell number on it, follow up to confirm a date. Keep in mind that some recruiters are from out-of-town, so if you delay too long, you won't have any opportunity to act. Keep in mind that she often bored out of her mind, standing behind the booth for 8 hours a day. Keep it fun, playful and teasing. Lose the super serious act, she's used to hearing that all day long from people that are groveling to get a job.

Well, I've been recruited by H.R. women from my LinkedIn profile, but they were overwhelmingly middle-aged women with short haircuts, so I had no interest in gaming them. Gaming via a website seems like a risky proposition if you actually are interested in the job opportunity. If things turn south, she could accuse of you harassment. That's why it is better to flirt in person IMHO. Ask her out on a date and see if she's game. I'd be a lot less careful for a job opportunity I really didn't care about. But if you are serious about getting into her company, exercise caution until you've determined she isn't a raging feminist.

It is a judgement call each man has to make. Personally, I don't game women at work, other than using charm game to get them to do things I want as their manager. Then again, if you don't care about your job, game away.
