Dream Medicine and birthday cat Appreciation Thread

Two absolutely stellar contributors, despite their relatively short history here.

Where do I start with Dream Medicine? His current 96 posts pack the punch of 9,600, if not more. Not a word is ever wasted and in the same thread he can play the role of brother, counselor, wingman, philosopher, motivational expert, and so much more. The way he balances constructive criticism of fellow members with carefully (but also effortlessly) packaged insights beggars belief.

This is the "boring average" of what the extraordinarily talented Dream Medicine produces:

To our next luminary: I get the feeling birthday cat was nowhere near the polished commentator he is today (correct me if I'm wrong). Every post of his oozes with the sense that we have a man who started from something small and worked himself, through dedication and careful introspection, into something big. Every single man on this forum can benefit from the way birthday cat looks into a situation without an ounce of over-analysis.

This recent post of his was a corker: thread-61923...pid1586928

Two supremely emotionally and socially intelligent men. Long may they bless RVF.

Completely agree. Very strong and underappreciated contributors to our little community.

If Dream Medicine was a HB 7 or above I would wife that bitch up before you could say "AIDS Dick". His SMV is on a similar trajectory to his RVF rep point curve.

Of course, then his hypergamy would kick in when he realised I am a broke loser & he would monkeybranch me for a higher status, rep point wealthy & better looking member.

Probably HCE

@David.garrett84 - Wow! I am humbled by your kind words.

I do aim to add value with every post, whether it be through evidence-based advice, well-reasoned skepticism, brotherly support, entertainment or humour. So, knowing that my contributions resonate with you means a lot to me and helps motivate me to keep on writing. Thanks mate.

My broader wish is to inspire fellow members to both (a) connect with like-minded blokes offline and (b) to take this board to higher and higher levels of knowledge sharing, scientific thinking, and genuine mind-expansion. I have enjoyed plenty of successes yet also lived through some heart-breaking losses in my life, and I'm just glad to pass on my own learning to others just as my mentors -- both past and present -- have empowered me through their guidance and support.

@Conscious Pirate - Very flattered that you would gladly take on the risk of getting AIDS dick if I was in... err... pseudo-female form? [Image: lol.gif] You crack me up bro, and I'm always uplifted by your encouragement.

@Leonard D Neubache, Yellowfever & Handsome Creepy Eel - Thanks for your support gents. I appreciate it.

Re: RVF's own Birthday Cat - this gentlemen deserves every ounce of praise here and more.

First, he has put a lot of effort into meeting forum members and is well-respected in the real-world. When forum champions like Scotian, Linux, Vinny, Papi Rico, Cr33pin, Drix, Dantes, Rottenapple and many others are all singing his praises, there is no doubt that he's a solid guy. Beyond someone's post count and reps given for contributions online, it's those offline connections that really establish a poster's credibility. And Birthday Cat is up there with the best. Looking forward to meeting him one day.

Second, his online contributions are superb. He is one of my favourite posters and is the kind of guy that keeps me motivated to post here. Why? Because -- among other reasons -- Birthday Cat:

(i) Shows a genuine red pill mindset of truth-seeking in calling out weak arguments and excessive negativity, in addition to having the strength to be honest with himself. Indeed, the mark of a true red-piller is the willingness to look for truth both externally and internally. What's more, his ability to outline a compelling argument based on structured, logical or otherwise engaging points enhances the likelihood of the reader re-considering their own position on topics such as excessive notch-chasing, premature nexting, anger at women and so on.
(ii) Similarly dismisses the easy indulgence of unhelpful fatalism and pessimism through focusing on acceptance, positive re-framing, appreciation, and action-oriented solutions,
(iii) Outlines a number of thought-provoking ideas about pickup and the management of relationships both short or long, and often complex,
(iv) Is well travelled and can provide experience-based intel on a number of destinations.
