That sucks about the hotel and younger guys hating. I think hating is a bigger problem with the younger generation. Also, I think a lot old drunk British dudes give you older guys a bad name. They get pretty sloppy, and their version of "approaching" is a cheers as a decent girl walks by.

Also, I agree apartments are the answer. I remember in Argentina, some hotel staff chased me up the elevator trying to get a girl's info before she entered my room, what a cockblock that was, though I was still successful
