When I open girls in the club I just ask 'how is it going'. Often I get some single word answer e.g. good. She does not give me anything to work with so I start cold reads. Again very often I get single word answers. After few cold reads I run out of ideas. Now I have a huge problem because I do not have idea what to talk about and conversation fizzle out. How do you deal with such situations?

When it comes to women what you say isn't as important as how you say it.

If you ever wonder what you should say next , it means you're talking too much. The more you talk, the more common you appear. The less you talk , the more power you have over people because they don't understand you and that in itself makes them uncomfortable and vulernable.

What are cold reads?

People fail much more then they succeed. However, if your failing too often. Time to switch things up.

Figure out a new line. I think even "hey" would be better then "hows it going", thats about as generic as it gets.

Ask questions that require more then a one word answer or try to get more out of a one word like..

"Where do you live?"
"Afghanistan"
"Tell me more about Afghanistan, I heard they re are awesome bars and restaurants"

"Do you have any tattoos?"
"Yes"
(If you can see one, physically touch her and ask her what it is ..else..)
"Show me your tattoos. I have a giant angel with wings on my back"

Have some stories to tell. The more you live the more stories you'll have. For example, if I ask that tattoo question, I can tell a story how this girl I met had a flame tatted above her pussy, or this canadian chick who got a tattoo of some guys name that she wanted to bang even though she was dating someone back home. Those stories are true, but they dont have to be.

And lastly start escalating.

So you wanna learn how to plow? Okay. I'll put you in the driver's seat. First things first, you need to sit in idle, you need to warm up and pick your path. You just can't go all over the place. That will be problem with your cold reads. Measure up the lot (the girl) find the curbs, because the ultimate goal is where you're dropping your snow!

Shift into drive, drop your plow and head straight to her, keep your eyes locked in, you don't wanna veer off and look like an amateur. Once on target keep it moving, you don't wanna get stuck. You planned this, you are trying to pick up and drop that load. At this point you gotta get the lot to open up, it will be a bitch sometimes, hidden curbs you didn't see, ice to cause you to slip up, etc. But you are a man in control and you can plow through anything when you keep your cool.

Weak/boring openers only work if women are physically engaged to you already.

If you walk up looking great then you are pre-selected and a girl will be warm to you regardless of what you say. Unless you are very attractive and/or have real sharp style then you want to be less boring and maybe more direct.

Think of it this way, what is a girl supposed to do with "how's it going"?

Allow me to shift your gears a bit.

The club is a place to have fun. It's supposed to be sexy and energetic. It's not the bus stop where you make idle chat with strangers. It's a place to listen to loud music, get fucked up, dance, and maybe stumble home with someone sexy who gets your blood pumping.

Go there and dance, take a look at the girls around and see who is making warm eye-contact. Those are your targets. If you see a girl you like on the dance floor and she is making eyes then go dance with her. If you see a girl you think is sexy then tell her "You're good looking come dance with me" etc. Less is more here.

Instead of starting with a hows it going opener all the time, why not try some other things to see if they go better for you. For example, why not do something like:

1. Ask her opinion about something? For example, I need to get a woman's opinion about somethiing me and my friend are arguing about. And make it something that women would likely want to talk about.

2. Give a wild or interesting fact about the city you are in. Not like the building was made in 1915 but something like the old hotel used to be a part time brothel during prohibition or something about the percentage of woman in the area are X or whatever.

3. Go situational. For example, if you see a girl ordering a bar and girl is being polite in trying to make her way to the bar or is trying to get the bartenders attention. You could say, don't be so nice. Just yell at him or her. Or if she looks at you, you could always say, you can't just look at me and not say hello. That is rude. My name is --------. Obviously, do this with a smirk or you can ham it up and say I saw you and you saw me, We had a magical moment and I had to say hello.

4. Go direct with a compliment. Wow, you look really nice or That's an awesome hat. It is a bar so you can be over the top here too if you like. Basically, do something that punches up the energy.

Also, the goal of cold reads is to get the girl hooked to where she starts asking you questions and/ or starts to volunteer information to you. So as a part of this, I hope you are dropping bait so you can share your preplanned stories on travel or whatever.

I also like this idea that was mentioned by another poster on this forum where you tell a story about your favorite toy or food. If you can make this story a good one, it is only natural for you to then ask them about their favorite whatever and them to want to volunteer.

At the end of the day, I think the things you need to consider is why is the girl not opening up to you or hooking:
1. Is it the girl is not that in to you and either you have out kicked your coverage for now or is this a situation where you need to adjust your delivery?
2. The girl might like you or is undecided but you haven't said enough for her to feel comfortable to open up to you. So you may need to just add an extra story or two or adjust your delivery some.

Yeah, don't do this. You're the masculine man! You shouldn't be asking a woman her advice on anything. She looks to you to calm the storm of emotions and insecurity in her own mind. OP you should probably think two or three steps ahead in this case before you act. Most of the time these girls just want to be led, you have to know where it's ultimately all going. And have something to offer them in terms of your presence. You have to take on the attitude that they're benefiting from your mere presence, whether or not that's even true.

In other words, think past the initial "howz it goin" just a little. What can you discern about her from what you can see at first blush that could possibly help you get into her head (in other words game her)? Paying attention for potential chinks in her armor.

Either select for chicks who give you "IOI's" (i cringe whenever i use cheesy PUA terminology) or just machine gun approaches. I tend to go with the former. Better ROI for my effort.

There is more to it than this because you may not be getting IOIs from the women you want to approach. You might get them from women who are 5 or 6s instead of 7s and up. Also, you can just get an IOI wrong where you misinterpreted the signal as an IOI and it wasn't. Plus, this happens more in day game but I find that some women will more freely look (give IOIs) even though they are there with their boyfriend or husband probably because they feel more safe.

In my mind, an IOI is still just a starting point. Sure if the girl is really interested, she may help carry you even if you mess up the conversation. But you still need some level of conversation skills to progress things along or you will risk losing higher number girls. In my opinion, true game is getting girls that are above your number so if you are a 2 and can get girls that are 5s, that is good. But if you are a 7 and are getting girls that are 5s, I think that is a problem.
