Egyptians have much more genetic affinity with the Middle East. Even before the Arabs came over for conquest purposes. Sure. They were brown and not white or whatever. But they were certainly not black though there were naturally some blacks living in the southern part per example. To claim that Tuth who has been proven to have European DNA, and the Ptolemaic dynasty that comes from Greece were potentially blacks... LOL!

Akhenaton also shows a propensity toward Black features. As part of that genetic makeup, he, his wife Kiya, and his son had thick lips. The color reproductions above of Tut and his wife show them with dark, not light colored eyes.

The center picture shows Akhenaton in praise of Ra, the Sun God. He is accompanied by his wife Nefertiti and their two children.

Pharaoh Alara was from Nubia, he ruled the City of Napata, which corresponds nowadays to... Karima, Northern SUDAN He also never controlled any region of Egypt. He was a king in Nubia which had been conquered LOOOOONG before by Thuthmose III. Not to mention the Nubian dynasty died at about 650 something BC

The mummies in this video have light and straight hair with distinctly European features. Some people say that the light hair is the result of oxidization or bleaching which is definitely possible, but it still doesn't explain why these mummies have straight hair as opposed to frizzy hair.

All matters aside, I can at least acknowledge rudewboy's point that the Nubians made contributions to Ancient Egypt. They might not have been Pharoahs or architects, but a lot of them were probably involved in constructing the pyramids.

A Sphinx statue on display in the British Museum actually admits that the "face of the stature was reworked" during the Roman occupation of Egypt. I knew I'd check back in today and still see every one going back and forth about what color ancient Egyptians were, haha.

Weren't they most likely semitic looking people? Like they are today? Just google "Egyptian man". Who's to say they didn't look pretty much the same in ancient Egypt?

If Ancient Egypt was dominated by an African elite class, why don't we similar civilizations pop up in the rest of Africa? You see structures in North Africa where the Ancient Romans occupied, but you don't see practically any in sub-saharan Africa.

My Grandfather passed away a couple years back, and I was always told that I was pretty much exclusively Scandinavian with German and Irish thrown in. I was always told he was Norwegian, but the thing is he looked nothing like Norwegian. He had dark brown hair and a different face than most Scandinavian people. He also had a grandmother with the last name Sena, which in Greek means blessed. I did a search on that name and only about 200 people in Scandinavia have that name. I also recently did a Nat Geo DNA test and found that most of my DNA matches that of a typical German. If you draw a line from the Faroe Islands (a province of Norway) to parts of Greece, they meet in Germany. Following that path of reasoning, I could be 50% Faroese and 50% Greek. The Faroe Islands is also similar to Greece because it has a cross in its flag, and the writing system is Latin. If you have Latin ancestry, your bound to have to have Greek ancestry, and if you have Greek ancestry you are bound to have Semitic ancestry. The weird thing is I was in a store a few months back to get some work done on a car part, and lo and behold I see a man that looks just like my Grandfather, and I also see a picture of him in Greece. The question I've always asked myself is do our ancestors really die, or do they live with us everyday, and we just don't know it?
